Appearance

Looking at him, one would swear Crown is a heraldic creature worthy of being marshaled onto a family crest. Perhaps, someone should have named him Crest - or Shield. That might have been a little too close to referencing something, though.

Crown's silhouette is distinctly that of a dog - maybe one wearing a lion costume. A wedge-shaped, triangular head sits at the top of a thick, strong neck obscured by shaggy, slightly curly wool. Velvety-soft and gentle lips and features hide the fact that his mouth is full of pronounced, carnivorous teeth and a deep bite. Unfortunately for any hunting tactics, ghostly eyes are located on either side of his head - large, satellite-dish ears may make up for the loss in frontal vision. His barrel-shaped body with a tucked stomach is held up by strong, but not overly bulky legs. At the ends of his forelegs are sheep hooves, and his hindquarters end in broad paws. A long, shaggy tail trails behind him, wagging with all the enthusiasm of a domestic canine.

Generally speaking - even as a newly-hatched - his coat is a consistent shiny-smooth black with just the barest hint of chocolate coloration. It's almost as if he's been bleached a little by a sun that doesn't even grace his skin. His shaggy wool-mane is a rich, cocoa-brown, stunning and pillow-soft. Crown's stone, stars scattered against a dark backdrop, seems to manifest in the same way as his late father's: two pairs of horns, one spiralling and one curved, and rugged points across the forehead. It covers the entirety of his skull, teeth included. All of his baby teeth will be pushed out by the obsidian blades.

Fully grown, he will be about the same height and weight as your average mastiff.

Personality

Predictably, there's not much that can be said about Crown's personality, quite yet. He's quite a bit green and has quite a lot of room to go. Any path could be followed - of course, in only morally good and protective directions.

At least, Crown will be encouraged and seek to become a guardian figure to Gembound like his father, as well as a curious light in the Caves like his stone once was. Looking out for others is essentially just as ingrained into his being as deals continue to be. His fixation isn't as particularly strong, and his protection is rooted in altruism, but trades and exchanges seem to bring a certain amount of... excitement to him.

Instinctively seeking as he is, though, Crown has a tendency to grow too focused on something. He's quiet and reserved for as much as he moves about, and his eyes always seem to be flickering to and fro, ears searching, steps halting. Overstimulation's a commonality, and eventually he'll learn to cope, but encountering things that are new tend to bring it about.

A certainty is that Crown adores and loves. He cherishes and cares. Regardless of if you are family or friend, you will have this strange heraldic creature as a companion for life - to call on at any sort of time of need. Loyal as a dog and family-oriented as a sheep, Crown looks only to surround himself with those he is devoted to and give them all that he can.
