Appearance

Fully grown, Dezba is massive for a female gray wolf. From nose to tail she is 6 feet long and reaches a height of 34 inches at the shoulder. Muscular and well-built with big paws, she has an interesting and even more so, intimidating, build. Her head is large and well-defined, with a blunt muzzle and broad forehead. Despite these features, her face is somewhat elegant when it has not been distorted into a vicious snarl.

She is shrouded in a cloak of fur as black as the shadows casted on the tunnel walls. So dark is her coat, it is hard to tell her features apart, except for a few. The first thing one is bound to notice about Dezba is her piercing, green eyes followed by her menacing, sharp, white teeth. In poor lighting they might appear as if they are floating in her dark, shapeless form, but Dezba's melanistic coat is not at all dull. It is usually glossy in the light like obsidian, indicating her to be well fed. The fur its self is dense and unkempt, growing longest around her neck and shoulders as if to complement her minacious appearance.

Her gem is a somewhat, large shard of emerald. It is embedded deep within her flesh between her shoulders, and stands tall enough for the jagged tips to be seen through her black fur, even when they are standing on end.

As a pup, Dezba will look like the 5 month old version of timber wolf. Lanky with a shorter coat and big, green eyes, some might even say she is quite cute. Her paws are massive compared to her little body, as she still has much growing to do.

Personality

Dezba is plagued by strong emotions that usually fester in various forms of anger. Volatile and often capricious, it takes very little to set her off. She is easily frustrated, whether it be by her environment or her own short comings. She will take out her boiling rage on others, usually the undeserving. Fueled by utter hatred, Dezba will stop at nothing to seek vengeance if she feels like she had been wronged, and in the heat of the moment, does not care who she tramples to achieve it. No one is safe from a verbal stoning or a sarcastic remark from Dezba, not even the biggest Gembound. She can be selfish and cruel because to care for anyone but yourself will get you screwed over. This is the lesson she is taught through her cycles.

From the outside, Dezba seems only capable of having two emotions; unbridled rage, or nothing at all, but that is far from the truth. She is simply afraid to let others in. For her, showing her softer feelings is no different than showing her belly in submission. She considers it weak, and if its one thing Dezba does not want to be, it is weak. For her, feeling helpless and vulnerable is worse than dying.

For Dezba, fear and anger go hand in hand. Her nasty attitude has made it hard for her to keep friendships, but deep down, she is a very lonely creature. She wants to have friends, and she wants to trust, but most importantly, she to love, however, she is afraid to do so. She scared of vulnerability. Unfortunately, that very fear feeds her anger, and so, the vicious cycle continues. As a pup, she is less explosive, opting for a more passive approach, but her impulsive and stubborn nature will still get the better of her. It is around this tender age, that Dezba's fear of vulnerability will originate. With each cycle, she will add more and more thorns around her heart. But as she grows up, she will become more self aware, noting how her behavior has effected others, but still powerless to overcome it and in time, those 'thorns' will become a double edged sword.

*Curiously, Dezba's plant magic is very in tune with her emotions. Although she can have full reign on her casting, sometimes, if her feelings are strong enough, she will subconsciously germinate certain plants. Regularly, they betray her true feelings. Since she is quick to anger, plants with briars and thorns are usually her signature, but others, such as Honey Reed may convey affection.
