I'M WEIRD CAUSE I HATE GOODBYES
I GOT MISTY EYES AS THEY SAID FAREWELL
BUT I'LL KNOW WHERE SEVERAL ARE
IF MY DREAMS GET REAL BIZARRE
CAUSE I SAVED A FEW AND I KEEP THEM IN A JAR

Appearance

YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYES
IF TEN MILLION FIREFLIES
LIT UP THE WORLD AS I FELL ASLEEP
'CAUSE THEY'D FILL THE OPEN AIR
AND LEAVE TEAR DROPS EVERYWHERE
YOU'D THINK ME RUDE
BUT I WOULD JUST STAND AND STARE

As a baby Diot is small and rather puffy, appearing to be nothing more than a furball with legs and a long tail streaming behind him. Bouncing from tree limb to tree limb most never get a good look of what this small child is. Only that they are far to excited to be meeting someone new.

As an adult Diot is large for his species, standing 12 inches tall while his tail is nearly double that length. His body is covered with long soft and predominantly black fur. Golden orange fur abruptly starting around his limbs, tail and paws. His eyes a deep emerald and his nails a stark black.

His mane is his most striking feature, long and thick it gives one the impression of a small lion at first glance. This imagery paired with his soft black face and striking eyes gives one the impression of a rather regal individual. As he ages and grows with his element he will occasionally be seen with plant matter sprouting from deep within his fur and along his back. Often this plant matter reflects his current mood or deep thoughts.

His gem is a small oval Welo Patchwork Opal that lays upon his forehead. It is smooth and shimmers whenever he is overwhelmed with emotion(s). Upon concentrating or casting a spell does it release a small burst of light.

I'D LIKE TO MAKE MYSELF BELIEVE

THAT PLANET EARTH TURNS SLOWLY

IT'S HARD TO SAY THAT I'D RATHER STAY AWAKE WHEN I'M ASLEEP

'CAUSE EVERYTHING IS NEVER AS IT SEEMS

Personality

Neutral Good

Diot starts out life cautious but with a great deal of zeal for life and the energy to match! He is very passionate about the elements around him and more specifically his own. He is happy to spend time and learn from others but on more than one occasion he is happier to tend to sprouts and watch them grow. He respects all life and before any meal he can be seen giving a small thanks to nobody in particular.

As an adult he has slowed down, but by choice. He is in no rush to move from one place to the next. Tending to the very plants and wildlife that provide him food and shelter. He heals the land where and when needed and he stays out trouble whenever he can. Preferring to leave a fight or talk it out rather than resolving it with conflict.

But dont let his calm and stoic behavior fool you, he loves to play games and spend time with any and all individuals especially offering guidance to hatchlings! He can go from calm and collected to playful and heartwarming as fast as he can get a seed to sprout!

On the occasion where violence is the only choice he has left he will command the plant life around him to immobilize the enemy until he can get far enough way and seal himself somewhere alone and unknown in the tree tops.

History

Strange New World

August/2/2015 - Hatches in Cetus

Booker a Numbat finds the young marmoset, after a few heartfelt moments he feels that they are in danger. Burrowing them into the Earth a guttural roar is heard and a dragon is tearing down their door.
