Appearance

Stone: Ein's stone cuts through the left side of his face like a wide, jagged scar. It reaches from the top of his brow down to his lip, overtaking the area where his left eye would be. In direct light, it is a mild shade of blue with light highlights and deeper blues that form cloud-like shapes within the stone. It otherwise is a light blue, hiding the intricacies of the crystalline structure beneath.

Aside from his face, there are no distinguishing features for Ein. His coat is a mix of sandy colors with blacks, grays, and silvers peppering his back. Ein's right and only eye is a dark silver, uninteresting and easily forgotten, unlike others typical of the jackal species that might have yellow or orange eyes. With a mild gait and unassuming postures, he almost feels like background noise—but to a keen eye, these features that make him nearly absent may make him stand out even more.

Even his facial expressions are extremely boring, rarely smiling; he is more likely to frown or pull his brows together in some kind of disgust. Despite his seeming neutrality, Ein dislikes messy areas, and is not fond of dusty rooms or caves with lots of debris. He keeps himself and his space tidy.

Ein stands one foot at the shoulder and is about two and a half feet long. He is mostly legs with a slender body, and weighs a mere twenty pounds.

His voice is monotone, and neither high nor low pitched. It leans slightly toward nasally.

Personality

Ein has not developed much yet, but his basal characteristics seem to be that he is secretive and withdrawn. He does not seem interested in engaging others or starting/holding conversations. His main goal is to observe and learn for now. If he finds friendship during these developing cycles, it will likely only be with one or two individuals that will hopefully remain solid relationships for him going forward.

While he may not seem like much on the surface, Ein takes in everything that he sees, hears, and experiences in general. During his first cycle or so, he will probably be very flighty or defensive as he comes to understand the world he was born into. It is also possible that he will not cultivate any friendships, but may lie to secure himself allies if it seems promising for his survival.

As he ages, he is likely to develop a difficult personality in that he may not be interesting to hold conversations with if he does not have a lot to say. However, that does not mean he will be totally absent or void; instead, he is likely to engage more with those he does feel true companionship or comradeship with, but it may be hard for him to accept that he can have these things, or that it is safe to have these things.
