Appearance

Enoki, named charmingly after a type of mushroom, is about the same size as a normal koala but weighs almost as much as their canine parent does. Their soft, plush fur is mostly gray, like a koala, but carries the hyena spots typical of their mother's children. The extra mass is mostly in muscle, making Enoki rather strong -- significantly stronger than a normal koala -- but their thick fur hides a lot of the extra bulk.

Their thick, fluffy ears are in the same shape as a hyena's, but are much larger, like a koala's. Their muzzle is reminiscent of a hyena's, with the carnivore-styled jaws appropriate to a canine and a hyena's tongue, but they are capable of eating plants as well. Along their ridges of sharp teeth, the top right canine is a pink spinel stone, rooted firmly into their jaw. Their nose is more similar to that of a koala's. Their eyes are a warm, yellowish amber.

Their back tapers into a hyena-like slope, and their tail is far more reminiscent of that of a hyena's -- as is the spiky mane of fur along the back of their neck.

Personality

Enoki is a portable weighted blanket made sentient. They are calm, cuddly, and love their family fiercely -- maybe they aren't the most intelligent, with poems and puzzles confounding them at the best of times, but they're empathetic and compassionate with eyes only for affection. They're emotionally intelligent and know when to drop topics, although they do tend to struggle to understand that not everyone enjoys the same things they do (namely, hugs and snacking).

They're good with children because of their eagerness to play and cuddle, and like to climb but tend to struggle with it due to their weight. Enoki tends to forget things that might be considered common sense, and aren't good at remembering things, but they are more than happy to go out of their way for family. Family is everything to them -- Enoki will not hesitate to put themselves at risk if their family would be in any way bettered because of it.

For this reason, they should not exactly be underestimated. Enoki is friendly, warm, and cuddly -- but they have much to lose, in the way of family. To threaten the Bonebound is to threaten Enoki, and they would not hesitate to kill if it meant protecting those they loved. It is not their first option, and it isn't even one they like -- but make no mistake, they aren't afraid to do it.
