Appearance

An adult at last, Eosphoros appears as a shade of what he could've become. Instead of a broad, full chest, starvation and anxiety have made him shaky and worryingly thin, spine beginning to show as his pelt clings to his bones. Grey-gold eyes are lifeless and flat, and the scars on his ears seem starker than ever, casting a spotlight on his total and complete isolation - the deafness that has followed him since birth. Bruises and scuff marks from fleeing in terror at the slightest movement litter his hocks, and his mane is tangled and spotty, seemingly over groomed. The remains of what might have been braids are tangled among ratty, oily hair.
Even his gemstone seems scuffed, as if the months of disuse have lessened its power. If one looks close enough, they can see a strange darkness pooling in the center of the yellow beryl - and the inky black only grows by the day, occasionally leaking out in viscous drops. As a result, what should have been light magic has become poisoned by shadow, any inner strength Eosphoros had to fight the change drained away long ago. A fight with a demonic jaguar covered the front half of his body in third degree burns, degloving the skin and leaving him with huge, ugly, wrinkled scars, spanning from his neck to his chest, and covering both front legs. Veins and deep-tissue damage make the injuries stand out starkly against his silver-grey coat, and some of the roots of his gemstone are visible through the skin. Personality
THE FOOL ◊ BRUISER WITH A SOFT CENTER
ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIED. After four months of complete and total isolation from contact with other higher Gembounds, Eosphoros has lost his voice, most of his memories, and does not know his own name. He's also extremely wary of any sudden movements, and will lash out immediately at anyone who even playfully attempts to harm him. This nigh-constant state of panic has made him incredibly unstable - although that kind of power could be harnessed...
LOYAL. To the end of time or his own death, he is loyal to those he considers family - and, perhaps, even more so, those he is indebted to. This loyalty can lead him to harm others or himself, if it means protecting the object of his bond. However, this loyalty no longer extends to strangers he meets, even if they show him minor kindness. The level to which he has degenerated to when it concerns intrapersonal relationships makes such new bonds almost impossible. HONEST. With a caveat - Eosphoros cannot lie... to anyone but himself. When he does recover his voice, he simply can't be dishonest; it goes against everything he believes in. This can make many conversations quickly devolve, as he's not afraid to tell you if you're evil, abusive, or otherwise despicable. OVERPROTECTIVE. Call him whatever you like, he's desperate to keep what family he has left, and will kill without remorse to do so. This need to protect the only ties he has to this life completely overrides any guilt he may have, and it's unlikely he'd ever feel bad for hurting someone who tried to hurt his herd first. GULLIBLE. With a generally gentle disposition, Eosphoros is someone who, influenced by his deafness, cannot easily tell who may be "good" or "evil;" or even simply who to stay away from. This can lead - and has lead - to him falling in with the very, very wrong crowd. POET. Once upon a time, this gelding was a bard, capable of singing loud enough to ring to the ceiling of Orion.
