Appearance

When she first emerges from her chrysalis, Fairy will be only a caterpiller, as a typical fairyfly caterpiller would be - small, compared to her final size, a hueless gray color and covered with fuzz of the same shade. On closer inspection, one might find that the fur carries a very faint lavender color while two stripes of blue run down either side of her body. On the middle of her back can you find her gemstone, a bright violet stone, perfectly marbled into an oval shape. Yes, a fairly average caterpillar. Except for the fact that she's nearly 4 feet long.

At her third cycle, Fairy will go back into her chrysalis to metamorphose. During this time, she will take a full cycle to change into an adult butterfly, emerging from the chrysalis at four cycles.

As an adult, she will be, again, an average fairyfly, but that is not to say she looks ordinary. No, with ornate, delicate wings, large with long swallowtails, painted with bright, saturated hues of pinks, purples and blues, almost sparkling in the light, she is a thing of beauty. Her wings also carry an iridescent, colorful dust that trails behind her when she flies. If inhaled, this dust will create vivid hallucinations depending on how much is ingested. Her gemstone is now located on the back of her thorax. All traits of an average fairyfly, except for her size which reaches a whopping 7 feet long from top to bottom wing. Meaning that anybody that's unfortunate enough to get a whiff of the massive amount of dust she creates will be in for one hell of a trip.

Her movements are delicate, graceful. She moves with purpose, usually a little slowly when walking, as a butterfly tends to do on the ground, but her flight is fast and fluttery. When she is able to speak, its with a high, squeaky, almost magical voice - exactly as one might expect a fairy to have.

Personality

Fairy is the absolute definition of innocence. She's friendly, delightful to be around, always seeing the best in people and trusting too openly. She has a sense of morality clear of any darkness and seems to stick to it religiously. It's almost a stain on her character to deviate from her morals even by the slightest and she could never forgive herself if she did any harm or wrongdoing to others, especially if it were on purpose. She has almost no temper - rarely, if ever, will she grow angry and she has absolutely no capacity for violence whatsoever. At the first sign that a fight may break out, she'll leave without hesitation.

Her greatest flaw, perhaps, is her vanity, seeing herself as something of a work of art, a creature of great beauty, and growing extremely offended when someone disagrees with this. Not that she usually does anything when she's offended besides...cry, probably. But seeing herself through perhaps a mirror or a pool of water actually brings her a lot of happiness because she truly believes herself to be beautiful. She simply has that much self confidence.

She has a very interesting perspective when it comes to her dust, however. As she isn't affected by it, she has no idea how it could affect other people and sees it only as something to make her more beautiful. She's actually somewhat stubborn on this fact, refusing to believe that her dust could harm in the slightest. If she does come to realize that it causes hallucinations, she sees this as something positive - a trip to a world of fantasy for a small amount of time, only piling on top of her vanity.

As a lesser gembound, and a bug, given cognizance, she's, well, not exactly the most intelligent. Actually she's fairly dull when it comes to almost everything and leads her life simply and carefree. She doesn't have the brain capacity for anything too complicated and will actively search for simplification so that she can understand it better.
