Appearance

Being a sparky young pup, Fate is all black as her ginger furs have not quite grown through yet. Her legs are quite long, as is common with the species. As a youngling her ears are floppy giving her the appearance of something sweet and innocent. However, her eyes tell give a different story as they are jet black and may be rather unsettling to behold.

Her gem will grow across her face and eyes and give the look of a pair of sunglasses made from shattered glass. It will start as a small diamond between her eyes and then grow outwards. The gem is thin around her eyes, this and its transparency allows her to see without much difficulty. Because of the black colouration of the gemstone, it will act like sunglasses meaning that she will be able to see perfectly in overly light places but barely in darkness.

As an adult, her orange furs will cover most of her mass except for black speckles across her body and her all black legs which give the appearance of her wearing socks. Her ears will have also grown to full size. They will be ginger on the outside with black tips and white insides.

Her body, from head to tail, will be 105cm long making her quite large for her species. Her shoulders will be exactly 1m from the ground, making her rather tall and long in posture. Her white bushy tail will take up somewhat 50cm of her overall length, making it quite long and almost half the size of her body.

Personality

Fate is an... odd, sort. She looks out for herself first and foremost, and spends a lot of her time alone. She rarely actively seeks out company, but when she does, the best way to describe her would be tricksy and manipulative. She's always toying with the idea of probability and fate, with her ultimate goal being to predict the future, and the actions of Gembounds, without relying on the notoriously unreliable aid of magic.

A steadfast true neutral, Fate does not discriminate in who she aids or toys with, whether their motivations be 'good' or 'bad' aligned. Nor, does she particularly care for morals in a traditional sense. She does not see evil reflected in the friend, allies or lovers one chooses to associate with, only in one's own actions. Grand ambitions intrigue her, and she likes to meddle, especially when it brings the fates of many into convergence. When even she cannot predict the outcome, you'll find her standing at the sidelines, tugging at the strings. Similarly, she may feed or starve others of their ambitions to see how it effects their drive to fulfill their destiny.

Whilst it may seem like Fate has little in the way of morals with her tenancy to associate with unsavoury folks as much as ordinary, Fate firmly believes that as life's one inevitability, Gems should be allowed to choose their own death. Whether that be giving their life to a hopeless cause, sacrificing it themselves, or simply losing themselves to the mists of the ages when one's magic finally gives in to slumber. If one's ambition means that the unaware and unwilling get caught in the crossfire, no matter who they serve, Fate will intervene.

Fate has a soft spot for newborns and those whose spirit is malleable, as not even she can predict where fate will lead them. In such situations she can take on the role of a mentor, helping to ease out dominant traits and ultimately guiding them on towards discovering their true passion.
