Appearance

Patience is wearing thin, paper thin

Feire is physically a medium sized fox, with long downy orange fur nearly covering his whole form and thin white fluff coating his underside from top to tail. His paws fade into a dark chocolate brown with pale pink paw pads, soft and plush from disuse. His long fur can be both a boon and a curse, helping Feire stay warm in cooler conditions, but nearly being the death of him in warmer ones. It frequently gets dirtied by the environment and other organisms around him, but washing it is such a hassle that it would rarely see anything outside of a quick groom and trim every now and again. Some say that Feire carries with him the look of a Gembound in a place where they shouldn’t be. He loves skulking around and generally looking like he’s up to no good, breeding suspicion wherever his paws take him.

Feire’s stone is a cabochon sunstone, shaped like a teardrop with a tapered point. The stone is an opaque, reddish orange, and slowly becomes more translucent as the stone thins out. It features a smattering of yellows and white facets when exposed to light, and can appear almost brown in the dark. His stone is tucked in the crevice where the underside of his jaw and throat meet, and is frequently covered by tufts of white fur. When performing anything that would leave him prone, he tucks his head down as to hide his stone from any creature that would seek to hurt him.

When first meeting Feire, one might be quick to make assumptions. Perhaps it’s the hum of the unseen that seems to follow him around, or the permanent look of dishevelment that he seems to wear with a snappy sort of pride. It might be in the way his teeth glint or the way his lips pull back into a grin when asked a question, or the way that he’s a little too into showmanship and drama, making sure the audience is thoroughly captivated by his performance.

Feire loves his words, and his words love him. He could go on for hours, and talks to no abandon, abusing his silver tongue to try and swindle unwitting Gembounds out of whatever material item he has his beady eyes on. Often his capability for spewing endless nonsense gets him into more trouble than otherwise, but he keeps at it until his target snaps and beats some sense into him upside the head.

For all the fox is into smooth talk, he rarely looks the part. He would rather find himself tripping over his own tangles before taking a much-needed trip to a waterhole, getting weighed down by the sheer length of his untrimmed and waterlogged fur. Any spoils he gains is immediately splurged on the latest fixation or fancy with little to no regard for the future.

That isn’t to say he doesn’t care about anything, of course. He can’t help himself from falling into the traps of a good sob story, and nothing in these caves are gonna stop him from dishing one (or several) out either. The more lights and flashy things the better, and if he can tweak otherwise battleready magics to more suit his art, then it’s all for the better.

So don't expect no sympathy.
