Appearance

Feral is a dingo, a golden-reddish wild dog with pale countershading. Her gaze is a dark, rich, flaming amber, piercing in its intensity. Her body overall is square and angular, and well-balanced. Her torso is rangy yet compact, leanly muscular; her neck is long and thick, with a slight ruff near her broad jaws. Her muzzle is straight, and from the front she might appear doglike, while from the side, she can almost look like a fox. From a distance she may be mistaken for a wolf, though smaller, and with no shades of gray or black in her coat. Her tail is a short, straight brush that hangs to just above her hock when she stands still.

Her legs are straight and strong, shorter than a wolf's and wider-set, yet more slender than many dogs'. Hers is a body built and evolved for survival in harsh conditions, built to hunt, to lope and to run. At full size she will be just over two feet tall at the shoulder, and weigh around sixty-five pounds.

In movement she is fluid and graceful, and she the ability, like any canine, to stalk and prowl much like a cat--head low, body stiff, shoulders rolling as she moves.

Her fangs are white and long, flashing as she attacks prey or enemy. Her nose is black, her ears large, triangular and often tilted to the sides.

Feral's gemstone replaces and adds to a neck vertebra, and is comprised of a bristling, oddly-spiked carnelian. If viewed alone, it would look something like a flat-sided sea urchin. It's nearly hidden in the fur at the back of her neck, about halfway down; it provides small, but sharp, spines pointing out, mixing in with the fur. It's virtually invisible except in high light--when it shines--or if the fur around it is spread away. It won't cause much damage when bitten aside from providing a painful deterrent.

Personality

{Fierce} - This dingo is ferocious in a fight, and even in day-to-day living. Everything is tackled with a savage wildness, brutal and merciless, no-holds-barred. This isn't out of malice, but rather, pure instinct.

{Instinctive} - She follows her instincts, reactively and instantly. A scent might send her bolting backwards before a tamer creature even senses it; a vague suspicion might have her leaving a conversation with a hurried pace without so much as a "goodbye."

{Cautious} - Feral is wary, despite following her instincts instantly. If she isn't sure about something, she may spend some time sniffing around it, debating whether or how to interact. If she isn't sure about her chances, she will often not engage, unless her violent nature compels her to.

{Predatory} - Anything small, squealing, the smell of blood--anything that says "prey" will have Feral in full hunting mode. Greater Gembound or lesser matters little to her; food is food. That being said, there's no telling whether she will actually try to kill such prey, or merely defeat them somehow, for the thrill of it.

{Fiery} - Energetic, stubborn, competitive, and hard to get down, Feral is a creature very vibrantly alive. She will fight to the end and as hard as she can, or flee to the best of her ability--she never gives up. As far as she's concerned, she can't ever die--or if she is going to die, it doesn't really matter, as long as she enjoys her "now."

{Sharp} - Cunning and highly-reactive, quick to catch on and quick to react, swift with retaliating and with biting, witty words, Feral is what you'd call "sharp" in both humans and in working dogs.
