Appearance

Scrawny as a pup with a timid voice to match, Florense only weighs about twelve pounds throughout his first cycle, and perhaps five hands tall, with His legs are thin, but his paws promise that he'll get bigger and tougher as he ages.

Most of his fur is slightly reddish and pale grey, where the red shows predominantly behind his ears, and as he's in his first cycle, his fur is soft and thick and almost poofy. While he thinks it makes him look majestic, it only serves to make him look....cute. (But don't tell him that.) The red along his nose contrasts with the pale underside of his mouth, and his tail has a pale underside to it, thick and heavy, and always hangs low. Hidden away, his gem is tucked in the fluff of his chest, and always warm to the touch.

Always with a wry smile, his clay brown eyes shine with a clever glint to them. He always walks around with what appears to be a good sense of humor that affects the way he moves, and he goes about at a brisk pace. It's not uncommon to see him prance when he's in a good mood.

Personality

Inquisitive - Bold - Romantic - Trusting - Protective - Warm

Florense is a strange mix of qualities, a soul permanently in turmoil because of his romantic heart that often leads him over cliffs. He will accept anyone who wants him, but he inevitably burns those close to him with his sharp tongue and his aggravating trust issues.

He would do anything for the one he loves, and wouldn't hesitate to put himself in harms way or even set himself on fire for them. He will protect them from everyone, even if the whole world is against them, but once safe, his jealous heart will inevitably turn suspicious. He puts a lot of faith into the ones he trusts, but is quick to judge and accuse, lashing out and burning without restraint. But once the ashes die down, he'll try to mend bridges and soothe things over and try to be a hero again.

His cycles of behavior will repeat and he'll make the same mistakes, and it won't be till he matures that he realizes his patterns. No advice will change this until he sees the error of his ways. In fact, irritatingly, he often does the exact opposite of any advice he hears, and he will do what he wants when someone says, 'Don't.'
