FLEUR DE LIS -- "at one and the same time, religious, political, dynastic, artistic, emblematic, and symbolic."

Fleur is an adult skunk, both elegant and fairly imposing, a honed predator with snow white fluff and blood red eyes. Pink pawpads are tipped with clear claws, and a long tail sprouts from her back, dragging behind her when she walks - or, well, waddles. She's much like any regular old skunk, disregarding her coloration; she was born with albinism, draining her coat of any color and staining her eyes red.

Fleur's gem has replaced both her skull and her upper teeth, meaning that every single one of her many sharp teeth are jagged pieces of rose quartz. It's placement has also fused her jaw semi-shut, making talking and eating difficult. An ammonite tiara is perched on her head, seven-pointed and a mix of yellow, red and blue stone. It is constantly freezing to the touch, and glitters in the light.

As a result of the insidious disease she carries, the Distemper virus, Fleur has begun to suffer effects from long-term usage. Chronic seizures and distemper myoclonus have caused the left side of her face to become paralyzed, the skin of her cheek, mouth, and eyelid permanently drooping downwards.

FLEUR -- "flower."

RESILIENT. Fleur is not one to weep, or scream, or throw a fit. If something is bothering her, you will most likely never know it. The only time she does show true emotion is when she's away from the Merrymen or incapacitated in some way, unconsciously letting her walls down at the release of the constant tension of being watched for any sign of error.

BLUNT. This skunk cannot, even to save her life, lie. It just isn't in her blood, and the thought never comes across her mind. She's blunt to the point of insult - usually intentional insult - and is willing to back up her words with as much proof as needed. This can cause many a fight, which is fine by her.

PROUD. After being thrown away by the Gembounds she once called family, Fleur has taken her shattered emotional state and meshed it with her previous talents, creating a warped but incredibly fierce pride. Any insult, imagined or otherwise, will be met with an aggressive response, be it verbal or physical.

LEADER. The death of Florence has driven away her need to do the bidding of others, and with it her inclination to follow. Fleur's goal now is to make sure the Merrymen never harm any children ever again - and then move on to the rest of the caves. She's willing to work with anyone, do anything, to make Origin a safe place again.
