Appearance
Fortune was formerly a tiny being that looked scarcely able to defend herself, and it isn't like much has changed. Her figure looks to be suited best for running and fleeing from the first threat that rears its ugly head. At her shoulders, she now stands a rather meager 20" (50.8 cm) and weighs roughly 50 lbs (~23 kg).
Her shape is like that of any other common duiker; a barrel-esque body covered in tawny hues is supported by thin and long stilts. A triangular-shaped face seems to almost perfectly suit her long neck and the tiny horns that sprout between large ears. Settled into her narrow crown are large, almost bug-like, navy blue eyes. Just a few inches above the space exactly between her sapphire orbs lies her stone in all its glory, a pitch-black cassiterite. The three-inch-long horn almost looks like a void due to its pure darkness. When magicka is being utilized by Toon, however, eyes and gem will light up with a magnificent blue glow. Now, we must describe her coat, right? It is mostly tawny in hue, soft and golden like distant savannah grasses. Cream colors mask her facial features, neck, and undersides, turning her base coat into a cute little saddle mark. Opposite of the cream hues is a darker, almost chocolatey hue (with a hint of tawny gold) that masks her limbs and facial features, as well as accents her little butt fluffs. Yet darker is a definitely dark chocolate color that acts as a blaze down her face, framing in the aforementioned gemstone that gives her life and tipping off her large teardrop-shaped ears. Personality
A Gembound once filled to the brim with childish naivety and gullibility, Fortune has grown. Time has formed her from this base into a strong and wise being. Toon is an seemingly an ancient statue, still and unwavering. The being seems as if she is always quiet, silence holding her tightly.
When being spoken to, the duiker may seem as if she is spacing out or has entered an entirely different plane of existence... or perhaps distracted is a better word for this behavior. Even from childhood, Toon will be magickally aligned with the mycelial world, and she is almost constantly listening to the whispers of the surrounding fungal growth and creeping mycelia. However, a difference from this in her past is that she has become more focused and able to keep her mind set on one thing in particular, rather than trying to do multiple things at once. She still can't help but sometimes listen to mushrooms more than she listens to you, though. Still yet a narcoleptic, Toon hardly ever sleeps at regular intervels and often dozes off in the strangest of places. Her optimism has carried over into adulthood as well, for Fortune tries to focus on not the negatives of life, but on the positives. It seems to be contagious at times as well, for the duiker tires to keep all of her closest friends from feeling too down. While not as timid as she once was, she is still often alert, ears perked and large eyes taking in all they can at all times. She may not be as gullible as she was in childhood, but she is still rather friendly, if slightly introverted and unwilling to open up right away. Once one wriggles their way into her heart, however... they will gain her infinite and unwavering loyalty. History
5.6.2015 - Fortune emerges from the shell that has formed her and enters the world, soon meeting Bevy and Teyouma. After the adventure is over, she leaves Polaris to explore the rest of the Caves. 5.11.2015 - She encounters a Lammergeier, newly hatched like herself, named Azazel. The self-proclaimed Bone King welcomes her to join the Bonebound, and she is happy to accept. 5.12.2015 - Not a day later, Azazel calls together his new clan, and Fortune is happy to join in. 5.16.2015 - She meets quite a gathering of deer named Clover, Vazi, and Tamelyn... and she joins them in a happy game of hide and seek! 5.17.2015 - She seems to mysteriously vanish... hiding in the shadows for some reason. Watching... waiting. 8.2.2016 - After months spent lurking in the shadows of Canis and observing, Fortune finally returns to the light to find the fallen Bone King. It is here that she swears to do her best to guide her new King, Carni. 8.3.2016 - After Carni rests by his father for the last time and he is buried, the new King calls together the Bonebound, and Fortune heeds his call happily... but it seems tensions are rather high. ??.??.2016 — Unexpectedly bereft and usurped by grief, she abandons Carni in his time of need to look for the son missing after the fall. At the end of her search in Polaris, she falls into a long rest. 11.19.2017 — The caves are alive again; so is she. She awakens and finds the one she was looking for and far more.
