Appearance

TWILIGHT OF THE GODS

With a strange, wedge-shaped head, permanently wide eyes, deeply wrinkled "pelt," and seemingly no concept of personal space, this cat lives up to one of his slightly creepy nicknames of Skin-Thing. Though he has a thin layer of down-like fur, it is so thin as to appear invisible, and offers him absolutely no insulation against the cave's ever-present chill. Because of this, he is almost always shivering or outright shaking. Gob appears to be permanently rail-thin, stemming from his outright refusal to, well, eat. He has to be forced to.

Whether it's a lack of want or simply a disgust towards any and all food, this starvation causes Goblin to have a strange build, with thin, stilt-like legs, ribs and spine on display, and a tiny pot belly. Wrinkles cover him from head to toe, with large, almost oversized and pointed ears. His pelt - if it could be called that - is a dark gray, letting him blend in with most shadows. Yellow-green eyes peer out from a mask of black, with a distinct white upside-down-v-shaped marking that sits in the middle of his forehead.

His paws, every bony finger revealed in sharp detail, seem a bit more flexible than most, and he often attempts to "talk" with them, his tail providing a bit more emotion to his directions. The occasional sneer or grin are the only other expressive movements he seems to comprehend, and these are only learned through others - he doesn't seem to understand their emotional meaning.

EMOTIONALLY DEADENED. After everything he's seen, it seems that his host is truly all he cares about, becoming angry, cold and mistrusting of the outside world for its cruelty. He will be incredibly distrusting towards anything that isn't his host or a child, although members of the Bonebound seem to be treated with a defter hand, given his attachment to Azazel.

MANIPULATIVE. Not intentionally, but because of his constant coldness, Gob tends to cling to other, warmer Gembounds. They may take this as affection or even obsession, which is fine by him - after all, they're only space heaters to his mind. The more he has, the better; if one falls out of favor, another can become his new blanket! He doesn't seem to see the danger in befriending something that could, say, eat and/or kill him. Then again, it's uncertain as to whether he would care.

MUTE. Without the use of a Mimicry spell, Goblin cannot physically speak. He can stumble through telepathic speech, but when it comes to opening his jaw and attempting to get across what he wants or needs, nothing comes of it but the odd, strangled purr.
