Appearance

As a young Gembound, Galactic will be incredibly ugly. He will look like a dusty tuft of fur, with no visible patterns. His face will appear to be sunken in, with darker circles around his eyes. His talons will be small and bare, with feet that resemble worms more than feet. His beak is normal on the bottom, a darker grey in color. The top, however, is blue in color, and if one looks closely they will realize it is his Gem.

His eyes, however, are the most eye-catching. The outside, where most animals sclera would be, are dark black in color. However, closer to the center of his face, they take on a blue color. One can see the veins in his eyes, although they more closely resemble stars in the galaxies that make up his eyes.

As he grows, however, he will grow into himself. Shedding the downy coating of his younghood, he will grow thick feathers, small but plentiful. For the most part, they are grey-ish, although some lean more towards white. He has black feathers that line the outside of his face, and flecking his stomach as though someone flicked paint on him. His head is a few shades darker than the rest of him, only making his eyes and gem pop out further. His gem, too, has chained. No longer is it a dull blue in color; instead, some parts of it is translucent. Inside, however, there are large patches of varying shades of blue which sparkle when hit by the light, as though someone has trapped the night sky inside of it. He also bears the trademarks of his species - a pair of tufts that look not unlike ears.

Personality

{Knowledge-seeking:}
Being blind, Galactic will never be a fighter. He will not be a great hunter, either, and thus will have to rely on others to keep him from starving. However, he will be determined to pay them back in any way he can, and he will eventually discover that he can do this by bringing back knowledge. And any knowledge will do. From information on Magic, to studies on the Lesser Gembounds, to old scraps of items. And he will hoard this information. When others approach him, he will be happy to share his knowledge, but only for knowledge in return. And knowledge must be equal. He will not give you information about Magic in return for information on cave rats, for example.

{Intelligent}
Galactic is incredibly intelligent. He makes up for his lack of strength and power by putting his brain to use. His thoughts race, easily sorting through the information he has learned.

{Patient}
This owl is incredibly patient. This comes with the territory, naturally. Since he can't see, he has one less sense than most, and has to get used to not using it. And, because he has to rely on others, he has to be patient while waiting on those who are helping him.

{Eidetic Memory}
Galactic has an eidetic memory. Once he learns something, it is not forgotten. He could tell you exactly who said what when he met with a group of Gembounds in Polaris two cycles passed. This helps him a great deal, as he is incapable of marking anything down to help him remember.
