Appearance

On a normal occasion, such as sleeping or relaxing, this bird might look like any other pigeon with enhanced green hues. The only difference being its massive crown stone that covers the top of the beak, draping down slightly to cover the bottom when the birds beak is closed, which is almost never. The stone is fused to the birds skull and top half of the beak. It curves up off the crown to form a point looming over Gertrude's head. The green shape covers around the eyes on either side and giving the bird a look of meanness and seriousness. The one other thing that sets this bird apart is its large crop that can, and often is, filled with air, puffed up to such a proportion that the bird almost looks like two in one. This can give the bird a very pretentious look to him, and it's fitting. His crop is adorned in an iridescent green, as are his lower wing and tail feathers while the middle up his body and what's seen of his head remain a silvery grey. Two little red feet contrast the bird's color scheme, but don't tell Gertrude, he can't see them below his crop anyway. If puffed and positioned the right way, the bird could easily blend into and greenery , while if it moved another way, it might be able to look like a mossy rock laying on the ground, not that he would EVER touch the actual ground.

Personality

Prince Charmbirb Gertrude is one of a fancy, annoying, dramatic air. It really is all about him and what he thinks. He is pretentious and cold and apt to argue with others to test their mental capacity. Being this way causes the bird a lot of stress when he can't figure something out or if he knows someone else is right. He has a large problem in ever coming forth if he is wrong. He is always right, even when he is wrong. If he could, he would bend reality to make sure he was right as much as possible. Even though he is stubborn and brash, Gertrude really does have an appreciation for knowledge, even if he doesn't show it on the outside. Despite his small size, he isn't scared of much. One could say he is hard-headed, but, of course, his head is completely covered in and made of jade. Not only does Gertrude have a bad attitude and way too much ego and pride for one of his size (maybe that's what his crop is for), but he is completely convinced that he is charming, intelligent, and a leader. Perhaps he could be, or will be, but mostly he's probably background noise.
