Ghanyarah has reached his full size of about nine feet long, including his long, thick tail, and weighs approximately four hundred pounds. His body has accumulated an abundance of muscle mass, and his thick legs are powerful, capable of hoisting up his rather chunky torso. He has a very thick neck that will accumulate a few extra wrinkles and flabs with age, and holds up a solid skull with a broad snout that houses rows upon rows of razor teeth. One can often see his forked tongue flicking from between his lips. Tipping his fingers are long, curved claws more than capable of slicing meat - it is true, this carnivore is primed for ripping and tearing.

His body is covered in small, round scales. They are his plate armor, his protection. Their colour is a dull grey that varies in shade, some darker, some lighter; various patterns line his body, but none very notable. What is notable is the light pink blush around his lips, eyes, ears and stomach. The sclera of his eyes tends to be a reddish pink, surrounding irises that are pale tangerine, gleaming much like a sunset. He has a scar on his right cheek; the scales are malformed where he was once afflicted with Teyouma's fungi.

The dragon's gem is a pair of pale pink morganite points. Though it appears to be two, the gem is actually connected in the crest of his skull, sending out two separate spikes of crystal. It acts as a crest, though is unmovable.

CALLOUS, COLD, UNSYMPATHETIC True to his nature, Ghanyarah is cold and impersonal as the ice he wields. He has feels very little for other Gembounds, regardless of whether they are his friends or simply acquaintances. He of course understands where somebody may feel a certain emotion, but he lacks the capacity to empathize with them. Happiness, sadness and anger are not feelings that he shares with others - he simply doesn't have that connection to others. Ghanyarah is capable of feeling these things himself and he responds accordingly, but he doesn't expect to find solidarity in others because of it. He is a lone sufferer of his emotions and thoughts, and expects others to do the same. When prompted to, Ghanyarah may try to pretend to be sympathetic for the benefit of his comrades, but more often than not it is a sensation falsely forged.

ANALYTICAL, THOUGHTFUL, PRIMITIVE BRAIN Ghanyarah is a tactical thinker, but that doesn't mean he's smart. The extent of his understanding of vital concepts tends to be limited. A lot of the time, he will recognize a concept but he won't be able to understand his way around it, or he won't be able to make certain connections especially to things that don't immediately relate to the issue at hand. Object permanence is fairly questionable to him - of course he has come to accept that things persist beyond his current realm of existence, but he may easily forget this concept when panicked or distracted. Despite all this, the komodo still has a rather analytical brain - he is very capable of assessing his environment and other Gembounds in order to glean useful information from them.

BEGRUDGING, RESOLUTE, GOAL ORIENTED Ghanyarah doesn't forget, and he rarely forgives. The komodo dragon has a penchant for clinging to memories of those who had wronged him, and if one thinks that time may heal his wounds, they are dreadfully wrong - in fact, they just make him worse. He is much like a super villain in the sense that he will hold tightly onto the experiences that traumatize or anger him; they shape him, but instead of shying away from them, he strives to be better and turn them in his favor. It is for this reason that Ghanyarah seems to lack any regard for who or what he eats - any creature small enough may be subject to the lizard's predation. Once a small prey animal himself, Ghanyarah takes advantage of his now bulky size and has turned the tables, preying on smaller Gembounds in order to make himself feel more powerful and bold.

LONELY, MANIPULATIVE, STUBBORN Through the cold, isolated persona that the reptile has developed, there is still a need for companionship that lingers deep inside his heart. He doesn't understand it, but he won't resist it either. Ghanyarah accepts companionship with open arms, however he is quick to lose it due to his callousness; as a result, Ghanyarah will try to twist around the minds of his comrades so that they may see him in a better light. He will appeal to them, but only by providing the absolute minimum in friendship. While he craves the company of others, Ghanyarah doesn't like to actively work very hard for it. He staunchly maintains his aloofness without the desire to feel any real emotions towards others.
