Appearance

65 cm / 26 in. || 900 grams

She's a good looking bird, even from the start, with most of her feathers already formed and ready to go by the time she falls free of her crystalline egg. Her plumage is a rich, earth-hued soot with dappling and half-moons of faded yellow along her chest and under her wings. Her tail is impressive, a sharp-angled flat flare of yellow tipped and centrally lined with black. Yellow cheeks just barely touch the corners of her eyes, ending where her feathers shift from face to neck. Around her eyes is bare skin, revealing her flesh to be pale underneath.

A strong, deeply curved beak, doubly mobile compared to most birds, with a movable upper mandible, takes up a good portion of her face, resting well above the eye. The lower beak is replaced with her Onyx stone, banded black and white and entirely opaque with a glossy surface. Her eye color matches this, white in the center and black along the edges of the iris. This is most notable when her pupils pin, otherwise appearing silvery-black when those pupils are dilated. A simple, short, squarish crest sits atop her head and she can pose it as she wishes, upright or laid back. The feathers around her lower beak are also easily fluffed up to hide the bottom half of her face.

Wide wings carry her much more easily than her other cockatoo cousins, and that wide, expressive tail, with the brightest yellow underneath, helps her to maneuver well amongst trees and cliffs alike. Four-toed feet, in the same gray flesh tone as her beak and eyelids, are perfectly suited for perching and grasping, with two digits in the back and two in the front, each equipped with short but sharp little talons.

The short of it; She's a feisty, feiry tempered thing with a lust for adventure and knowledge. A thrill seeker and a dare-devil, she puts it all on the line, every time, if it means getting the loot, saving the princess or defeating some great evil.

Uncertain of her place in the caves, she's not disturbed but rather inspired to find out just what niche she can fill with her talents and skills, and with luck, it'll be something to do with that passion for exploration. Keen on shiny things and trinkets that she can wear or carry with ease, it's easy to win over this materialistic adventurer with the promise of loot and bounty.

Nomadic, she rarely stays in one place long and can be difficult to recruit to any one team, side or force. Flighty, she can get ahead of herself and often forgets to think of others before putting some dangerous or risky plan into action. Loyal, but perhaps not very good at it, she keeps the best intentions in mind when it concerns those she considers a friend or ally. That said, it's not hard to break this avian's trust and end up on the receiving end of her heroic justice.
