Her legs, though, are a little longer than you might expect from a horse: and certainly much more fluffy. Her hooves are cloven like a deer or goat and coated in overthick, extremely long feathering. On her back (the horse one), sit a pair of small, vestigial wings, far too small for any kind of purpose other than to sit there and look pretty.

The humanoid portion of her is thickly-built, soft around the edges, and dappled in little freckles. Her enormous eyes are a warm brown and her hair is extremely long and thick like her coat. A pair of floppy, goat-like ears sprout out from under the mass of hair, dark brown on the outside and cream on the inside. Her teeth, unlike a horse or regular humanoid, are all fairly pointed and more indictative of a strict carnivore than anything else.

As a child, Venti Frappuccino® with Oat Milk, Strawberry Cream Cold Foam and Caramel Drizzle, with Vegan Whipped Topping and Hazelnut Syrup is a bay horse with cream half-stockings on her forelegs. Her dark skin is covered in pale freckles and the tips of her wings are similarly coloured. As she grows older, the white patches on her body begin to grow and expand.

By her fourth cycle, the spread of her vitiligo will stop abruptly-- perhaps due to the nature of the caves. Her socks will have expanded up almost to her shoulders and dip under to cover her belly and part of her legs, ending in pale strands going through her hind feathering. Her hair and tail will have thin cream strands coming through them, mixing through the dark brown hairs, and her rump will be lightly spotted, too.

What seems to irritate Hazel most, though, is the spread of vitiligo on her humanoid skin. It bundles in uneven patches on her fingers and palms, elbows, shoulders, mouth and underneath her eyes. They are extremely sensitive to temperature changes and hot light and are easily irritated, often very itchy. Hazel will quickly find ways to try to cover it, largely with dye, and then experiments with the rest of her appearance.

She will eventually land on a look that can only be described as 'maxamalist.' She'll dye brown hearts and freckles onto her wings and stockings, and she'll dye other parts pink: a ring around her forelegs, hearts on her chest and wings, pink bangs and highlights through her hair and tail. She'll even dye her freckles pink.

The one thing that will never change about her, though, is the ice cream opal gemstone on her forehead. Pink and white, banded deeper colours, and takes the shape of a horn on her head.
