Appearance

Upon hatching, Heart-Song is about half the size of an adult member of their species, being 16 cm (6.3 inches). They'll slowly grow until they're about 31 cm (12.5 inches) at the age of two cycles. Overall, they have a light grey coloration that gradients from said light grey to an ash white alongside the bottom of their wings. Heart-Song's tail feathers have an intricate striping pattern of a grey a few shades darker than their main body coloration, black, and white characteristic of a female cockatiel. Just don't let them hear you comment on that. Their gemstone, transparent petalite, is embedded deep in their neck, framed by the feathers that have grown long enough to hang over it. In the right angle or in particularly bright light, one is able to see through said gemstone, which shows a window of their throat and esophagus. Heart-Song's petalite glows an intense ultramarine when they're using magic. Their eye color is black, normal for their species. Their feathers are unusually fluffy along the underside of their throat, their underbelly, and near their talons. Because cockatiels mature very quickly (6-8 weeks), Heart-Song will be fully grown within two cycles, but will still be unable to use give life or give stone until four cycles, and will likely still be seen as a child by the rest of the caves until then.

Personality

Curious | Outgoing | Adventurous | Fidgety | Cuddly | Showoff | Heart-Song is a naturally curious creature. They love to investigate anything unknown to them. If they can't figure out what, exactly, something is, they'll make it up. Accompanying this curiosity is a need to adventure- cockatiels are naturally nomadic, and Heart-Song isn't much different. They becomes antsy and easily irritated when cooped up in the same place for too long. Heart-Song is also very outgoing. They won't pass up a chance to make a new acquaintance- and subsequently, a new friend. This outgoing nature feeds further into her need to keep moving and keep exploring. Heart-Song has no sense of personal space, and will gladly cuddle up against a fellow Gembound. (or, more likely, considering their small size, cuddle up against a fellow Gembound's leg) They love to be in the limelight. Heart-Song is happiest being the center of a crowd, but won't try to push an existing center out of the limelight in order to get there. Still, they try a little too hard to get people to notice them, and often their efforts make them take two steps back rather than forward. Heart-Song is too needy- they'll often fish for compliments if they feel like they're being ignored or neglected. Heart-Song's social nature makes them extremely adverse to any sort of conflict- they'd much rather talk something out than come to blows. One of their favorite things to do is sing, and as they're talented at this, they'll try ot use their voice whenever they can to draw a crowd. Heart-Song is Neutral Good, but as they're still quite young, their outlook and personality will be easily shaped by whoever first interacts with them after they break out of their chrysalis. No matter what happens, however, they'll always retain their loyalty to those that have won their friendship. | Loyal | Selfless | Needy | Neutral Good | ESFJ
