Appearance

Physically, a lumbering giant. Stilt legs barely hold steady a barrel body, thick but narrow. A strong, somewhat long neck supports a head that, for the first few weeks, looks far too big for the body its attached to. As the boy grows, he fills into the stocky body, lanky legs and massive head to become an all-around massive bull elk. The boy becomes a monster of a deer, with antlers that come and go, wide scooping flat growths with an increasing number of sharp prongs lining the outer edges.

He is covered in thick brown fur that darkens with age, primarily around his neck where a thick mane will develop, tapering into a point between his elbows on his chest. Red eyes match the curved diamond-shaped ruby on the boy's forehead. As an adult, this stone sits perfectly centered just in front of where his antlers grow, comparable to a third eye.

As a calf, he walks awkwardly at best, nervous and skittish with each second-guessed step. As an adult, he strides with fearless confidence and though he lacks much grace, he is a stable-footed giant and surprisingly light on his feet, making barely a sound with each lumbering stride.

Personality

As a calf, he is cheeky and free-willed, though a touch on the shy side when it comes to social interactions. Witty when comfortable but a complete klutz when put off his game, Horton is an all around goofy thing. Still, he is a good-hearted kid and dreams big dreams as many youth do in the caves.

As an adult, he becomes more docile, sobered by experience and time. He becomes more approachable though, with a better listening ear and calmer attentiveness to dedicate to those he finds interesting or worth the time spent.

He will always have a strong desire for personal space, can become territorial of his own homestead when pressed and is backed by a savage temper- especially when those horns come in.

Over time he will become tainted; gradually becoming less and less accepting of hybrids and going so far as to reject any of his own hybrid offspring; though this could change.

He's quite fond of water and prefers water vegetation to what grows on dry land.

He's not afraid of much, but storms can do him a frighten if they become loud and aggressive enough. Typically, as a moose tends to do, Horton responds to fear with aggression.
