Appearance

Innocence will paint his features upon emergence, a creature who will grow to be a terrifying thief of the darkness. He will be but the size of a newborn Howler Monkey, with relatively normal features. Of course, Howl's skin will be pale like baked clay. Each finger is long and spindly, bare skin to easily grasp things. Unlike some in the caverns, Howl has a great degree of dexterity, and is capable of finer crafts than others. Additionally, his back feet are also dexterous, but are more useful to pluck fruit from trees or hang from. Howl will find himself to have great finesse in climbing and acrobatics. Small ears will sprout from the top of his crown, rather unusual for his race. He is a tactical hybridization between a Howler Monkey and a Mongoose. Could you say that he's a Howler Mongoose?

As he ages, a great mane will develop about his neck, from his stone's side, where it will be painted a rich and dark chocolate. The rest of his icon will be colored a rich russet hue, save for paler bits on his undersides and darker shadows upon his forearms and back legs. Rings will appear along the length of the elegant and long tail that lies behind him. Howl will have what he calls the 'Mark of Royalty', his right eye a bright pink and the left a golden yellow.

At adulthood, the amalgam shall stand 2.5 feet tall in height, and weigh a lithe 16 pounds.

Personality

Mother's removal has enforced a split that seems to have always been there.

Split at the point of Mother's removal and forcing themselves to the front, the new personality is a reflection of Howl; albeit with corrections that the cordyceps forcibly made. They're rather laid-back and lackadaisical, self-interested as opposed to altruistic. Not to say they'd let a child drown in the river or deliberately lead someone into danger for a chuckle, though.

They are fascinated by shiny objects and the chance to explore, but rightfully wary of unfamiliar places and people. Faced with even a hint of danger, they are quick to run away.

They will introduce themselves as Howl, though - having become convinced that they are one and the same, even with the awareness that they are not the host nor the trauma holders.

Howl
The host personality, a cyclothymic and kleptomanic wreck, Howl was plagued by the consequences of his own actions, and the unavoidable awful, no-good aftermath of Mother's removal from his (their? Our?) body. He's completely shut down, and it's unlikely he will ever front again.
