Appearance

Victoria crowned pigeon x vicuña x domestic cat x sea otter x mandrill
Size when full grown is three feet tall at the shoulder with a length of six feet excluding the tail.
Hymn's body resembles that of an otter, sleek and extremely flexible. This is complete with armpit pouches which can be used to store small items. However, his fur is borrowed from a vicuna, thick and wooly. It possesses the waterproof qualities of otter fur. His tail is that of a cat and a fluffy white. Hymn's back legs end in hooves that click as he walks, while his front legs end in cat paws that are opposable like that of a mandrill allowing him to grasp things. He has the wings of a Victoria Crowned Pigeon, allowing him to make a clapping sound when taking flight.
The head is distinctly otter like, complete with a nose that can smell underwater and a crushing bite. Perched atop his head are two ears. A vicuna ear on his left, and a cat ear on his right. This makes his head seem a bit imbalanced, but you get used to it. His cheeks, though they may not seem any different, can actually expand to be used like pouches like that of a mandrill. He has a mixture of both cat and otter whiskers, allowing him to sense both vibrations under water and changes in the air currents on land. Being a mix of several different animals, he's able to make to vocalizations of them all, whether it's the booming of a Victoria crowned pigeon or the orgling of a vicuna.
His entire body is a pure white in color, although there are feathers scattered throughout, in the colors of pastel pink, pastel blue, and pastel purple.
Hymn's gemstone is an emerald that is about 25% hollow with a small hole. When wind enters the hole either through flight or from being blown into, it creates the sound of a C note. This gemstone is situated on the tip of his tail. This is so when he waves his tail it can create noise.

Personality

Hymn's defining trait would have to be his love for music. Though his definition of what is exactly music is may not align with others. At first, he will have a tendency to be as loud as possible, and to make a LOT of noise. He will soon learn what music really is through interactions with others. Whether he leans more into folk or rock depends entirely on those he meets. He uses the sounds he hears around him in his songs. The pitter patter of rain, the howling of wind, the rustling of trees. He isn't afraid to approach others, mostly because he finds it rather fun to talk to others, and also because it is through meeting new gembounds that he is able to draw inspiration for his music.
Also dramatic. When they are in the mood they can get incredibly chaotic at times but hey, that's music, ain't it? The music phase they're in influences how they act. But being dramatic and chaotic is a default.
