Cycle 01-03

With a dark brown coat, cream-colored muzzle, legs, and a slender frame, the odd beast looks no different from a young deer at first glance, Closer inspection reveals this creature to be quite different from its hoofed brethren. Three pairs of small, ruby eyes line the ridge of his snout and lead to the single antler protruding backwards from his center brow. Brilliant scales- green in color- lay across the ridge of his spine, snout, shoulders, and knees. The thickest scales steadily grow into smaller ones that gradually vanish into the thick fur surrounding them. Though he’s already grown into his legs upon emerging, the neonate is much smaller compared to what maturity will have in store for him.
Seated at the peak of his croup- the rise between his lower back and tailbone- a translucent crystal cluster sprouts forth, pointing towards the withers. Most noticeably still is long, leonine tail that drags behind him. It ends in a flowing tuft of ragged hair that has a tendency to accumulate dust and debris when not consciously lifted off the ground.

Adult
Cycle 04

Much remains the same in comparison to his younger iteration, however, he’s gained a thousand pounds of muscle, fat, fur and grown to his full height at five feet at the shoulder. A heavy, leonine mane engulfs the meat of his neck which starts behind his horn and ends between at the withers. Dark, wavy fur runs under the length of his belly, and a long, cream colored beard tickles the underside of his jaw. Overall, Iskandir has an otherworldly elegance to him. He can be seen walking with his head level in a fluid gait that projects an innate self-assurance, but is still approachable.
Unpredictable surges of discomfort begin to arise during his fourth or fifth cycle. His gem will continue to grow from his lumbosacral joint and puts increasing pressure on his vertebra and spinal cord. This compression manifests as lower back pain, numbness in the legs or feet, and stiffness in the neck and spine.

Personality

Juvenile
Cycle 01-03

SPRITELY. The colt has a wealth of zeal for his newfound life and will be eager to learn how to use his legs and throw around his weight. This boyish behavior will be inherently harmless, but his pushy- almost bullying- behavior won’t earn him many favors.
UNMANNERLY. Coming out of the gate, this small creature will be cocky and vain. His small size, eagerness, and lack of understanding will be a hindrance to his desires and inevitably kick him in the rump when he gets put in his place. Habits from his youth will carry into his maturity, though he will strive to overcome them.
INSECURE. All that said, he will develop an underlying insecurity. The gradual manifestation of his element will strike him with fear and awe. Many things will go wrong. Fires will ignite. Electrified water will send him running, and no one will be safe from his accidental shocks- especially himself. This will harden his resolve to better understand the power he has been gifted.

Adult
Cycle 04

INHIBITED. Experiences from is younger cycles will put him off of time spent in well-meaning company and he will become reticent and withdrawn. Much of his time will belong to the purposeful honing of his element so he can learn to control his fear and someday reclaim confidence when in the presence of others.
SOPHISTICATED. In his travels, he will take pleasure in learning more intricately the nature of the cavern systems around him; the flora, its fauna, and other gembounds included. His pursuit of worldly experience shall lead him to an enlightened state that will free his mind of a cycles’ long self-loathing. This will gradually begin to show in the way he speaks and presents himself as he becomes a more cultured individual.
PROTECTIVE. Once he grasps the fundamentals of his shocking nature, he will be given a boost of confidence that will remind him of his insolence as a juvenile. Instead of allowing it to manifest in stubborn recklessness, he will aim to use his magick to pursue his own ideals and protect those who share in those philosophies. Iskandir will undoubtedly be a good friend and ally to those who are willing to uncover his better qualities.
