Size: 3 ft tall at tip of shell
Appearance
Description and art by GM Jaymie. It is an onyx gembound, and the stone replaces its heart. It is rather unsteady and may fall forward or backwards due to the weight of its shell. It also cannot hear very well, as it's ears have grown under the shell and are stunted in their growth. It's fairly small, about 3 feel tall to the top of the shell. It is a hybrid of the following creatures:
Thorn Treehopper (body) (bug warning) River Dolphin (head) Muntjac Deer (ears) Green Heron(eyes) Emperor Tamarin (nose) Fennec Fox (legs) Cassowary (feet) Barn Owl (tail) Brown-throated Sloth(coat) Black-browed Barbet (colors) Due to the flaws of the machine, it has infused the crystal with so many hybridized creatures that it can no longer pass on all of them when giving life/stone. If reproducing, you may pull traits from a maximum of three creatures. Additional clarifications: Not feathery; bristly fiber hairs from sloth. Non-functioning wings from cassowary. Personality
Curmudgeonly. Short fuse. It takes itself very seriously. This does not mix well with the fact that it keeps falling over on its face or its butt every 3 seconds. The fact that it can't hear very well makes it much more annoying and old man-esque.
Does it even have a butt? Speaking of philosophical questions, Isosceles loves to see itself as the pinnacle of logic and reasoning skills. The stunning portrait of a beautiful mind. It loves to twiddle its mustache (in THEORY!) and publicly ponder the greatest questions in life. Those without a decent amount of common sense might be adequately fooled by its grandiose displays of "mental acuity". But anyone with more than half a brain (not entirely common amongst these caves) will easily see through this ploy, no Other roll required. Despite this ruse, Isosceles is actually very good at understanding complex subjects such as arithmetic, science, technical proofs, and philosophy. It might even be good at explaining them, too. It's not that there's nothing in its head at all, it's just that it's... hard to get to, let's say. And in terms of emotional intelligence, the whole thing goes utterly kaput. History
