Appearance
Even as a kitten, this cat is absolutely massive-- easily towering over most other of her kind. She's not particularly elegant or agile as other cats either-- she's a hulking brute and you could likely hear her footsteps a mile away. Although her broadness gives her an advantage for fighting, she isn't very good at hunting, often being spotted before she can even catch anything.
Her fur is relatively short and kept clean-- black as night with a paler underbelly. There is a blotch on her chest that is almost blindingly white in comparison to the rest of her pelt. Her paws are similarly white, as well as the tip of her tail. Jaysong's eyes are almost lamp-like, a beautiful gold colour. They almost seem completely unfitting, considering how broad the cat's shoulders are and how she lumbers half-carelessly from one place to the next. Her gemstone is internal, so to the outside eye it might look like she doesn't have one at all. One surprising detail is that Jaysong is oddly soft-spoken. Her words might be missed completely among a crowd or even a strong breeze. This is completely opposite for her laugh, however, which is abrasive and raucous enough to be heard from the other side of the caves. Personality
Jaysong might seem a little guarded at first. Wary, even at a young age, of strangers. Hell, she seems wary of other gembounds she's known for a decent amount of time. In this state she can damn near come across as rude or aloof, or perhaps at it's worst-- downright aggressive and unapproachable. She's not, of course. Once she lets down that wall she becomes a darkly humorous cat, someone who often looks for jokes in any situation-- even the wildly inappropriate ones --and speaks completely honestly and with absolutely no filter. This is not always a good thing. Although she's quick, clever, and sharp-tongued, Jaysong has a horrible, horrible habit of not being able to voice this quick wit and humour without an array of curses leaving her throat, often quite needlessly so. Perhaps less so when she's freshly hatched, but certainly in later cycles when she gets closer to fully-grown, it's very rare that Jaysong manages to utter a sentence without throwing a good old fashioned 'fuck' in there somewhere. Perhaps, however, she shouldn't be judged too hard for this. Jaysong is a cat who's fiercely loyal to her friends and allies and would gladly risk her own life for another, even if it's a stranger she just gave the cold shoulder to five minutes ago. That said, this willingness to throw herself in danger is likely not going to do her any favours anytime soon. History
