Appearance

Joy is what can only be considered odd. He's a hybrid, a mix of a platypus and a leopard. He takes more after the physical form of a platypus rather than a leopard. He will grow to only be 16" tall. He makes up for this with noodely length. He has very tiny ears, long legs equipped with webbed feet and a beak-topped chomper. His stone makes up part of his skull and appears as multi colored spikes protruding from his right cheek.

Joy is mainly a yellow color that lightens when it reaches his legs. He has many different colored spots along his back and sides, reaching all the way down to his tail. The spots are many different shades, ranging from black to a light brown. His tail is a medium size, and about half of it is black. His face is also covered in the spots. His eyes are an almost fiery red color. He has webbed feet with claws on the end.

Joy's fur is rather smooth, sticking up only occasionally. There's some fur bunched up around the base of his tail, but for the most part it is smooth. The top of his muzzle is a beak, but the bottom is covered in fur.

Joy could be considered annoying, someone who will talk your ear off. He will talk on and on, rarely ever stopping unless someone manages to shut him up. He tends to annoy many gembounds with his constant talking, but he pays them no mind. If anyone were to comment on his appearance, you can be certain he will go off on you, going on about how he doesn't care what you think, and how there's nothing he can do about his appearance.

When talking, Joy tends to go off on a tangent and by the time he stops talking, he will likely be talking about something entirely different than the original topic. He often doesn't even know what he's talking about, simply talking just to hear his own voice. While he's talking, he'll continue talking until he runs out of breath. When this happens, he will quickly take a breath and continue. If someone manages to say something while he's taking a breath, then he will stop and realize that he's been rambling for a long time.

He tends to not care about what others think about him, however sometimes comments will get to him. He pretends that they don't, however, and moves on. He is very social, and will go up to anyone that he sees, and proceed to talk constantly. He is rarely ever silent. It might be thought that he talks constantly just to hear his own voice. While this may be true, there is another reason to his constant chatter. Joy is, in fact, quite afraid of the silence. He feels as though when it is silent, he is suffocating. He likes having some noise, even if it is very little. Him talking helps him stay grounded to the ground, give him something to focus on.
