Appearance

Mostly cat-like in appearance, but with the longer, stronger legs of a canine and a longer snout. Their face is fairly angular under all the fur. Their fur is dark brown with orange and white patches, and their eyes are the same stark pink as their life-giver's. Their body is a little longer, though stiffer, than a regular cat's might be. Born half-blind - can see things close up fairly well, but everything beyond a couple feet away is incredibly blurry, most things being just blobs of color with some airbrushed details. About the size of a medium-sized dog, about 20 inches at the shoulder and weighing about 50 lbs. The stone is a faceted labradorite gemstone set in their lower stomach.

Personality

A strong moral compass and good character will be present in this creature from his first day. He strives to do what is right and best for everyone around him and has a strong belief in equality for the caves. He may find himself becoming engrossed in the politics of Chaos and Order, but he will always be for the underdog, those that wish to live peaceful lives without fear of becoming entangled in the desires and whims of Masters and Valkhounds. In a way, he will be taking up the mantle of his predecessor, N’Chard, who once led a rebellion in another age of the caves, only to be betrayed by the one he trusted the most.

However, Kass will also be hatched with a natural pessimism and poor temper. Living half-blind makes things difficult and he will fail many many times until he is able to make things work for him. He understands the lowest, the disabled and the lonely, what it is to be a creature not specifically designed for anything. He understands the frustration of failure and will strive to use that to lift himself and the others around him up. While it can come off as initially grouchy, his strong will and resilience will eventually be apparent.

Magic will allow him visions of the past and it’s through these visions that he will find his true sight. Knowledge of the past is, he believes, the greatest weapon and shield. He will strive to learn as much as he can about his own history, the caves’ history, so that he, and any followers he amasses, can be better prepared for the future.
