Appearance

Juvenile Canine. So it begins as a small bundle of fur the color of a void. With oversized paws and ears that do not yet stand upright, there is naivety in the face - innocence not yet forfeited for understanding. Each movement seems clumsy, uncoordinated - just a bit off balance - but direction shall at once begin to emerge. A tail, long and low and heavy, nearly drags the ground. Often, all is still. Then, pointed nose will raise, poised toward the air for an inquisitive sniff. No markings adorn him, not even in this youthfulness, for he is of the solid dark and absent of all color. There are undertones of silver beneath all that black - perhaps just a trick of the light. Ah, but there is a catch. Needle-point teeth protrude from black gums, hidden by black lips - moonstone. Replacing the teeth along the upper jaw. Smooth and sharpened with purpose. Pale are they, like the two eyes that peer out from that watching face - stark white.

Adolescence to Adult Canine. As time passes on, he will come to be. Beginning to mature, the canine takes its rightful shape. Limbs elongate and teeth emerge as more than mere daggerpoints. Taking on the familiar curves and edges of what one day he shall be - a large, black dog. Perhaps a bit of wolf in there, deep down, but dog nonetheless. Fully matured he shall be great and deeply colorless. Sleek of body and long of limb, the blackness of his coat hangs from him. Lean and purposeful, he is well muscled and angled for predation. Still no markings have emerged, but there are to be scars that one day mar his form. Where these scars shall touch, the fur grows back more ashen, sooty - silverline to behold.

Moonstone. Although the moonstone that empowers him appears to be many teeth, such is but one solid plate divided by the softness of black, rubbery gums.

Movement shall progress from the tottling, tumbling, half-trotting falls of adolescence into the unbroken, shifting stride of a hunter. Eventually he shall learn to move at pace to cover ground. Well-built, he shall show some agility and suppleness of motion, but will never be abnormally quick. Swift enough to move out of the way of what cannot be matched, at best.

Voice starts as a soft whimper, a low mewl of noise, an experimental garble of words. One day it shall deepen into a growl, a low and soft rumble of words barely above a mutter. Speaking beneath breath, as it were, as though someone else might overhear.

Personality

Unbothered generally in attitude, it might be best to describe Kazgut as being calm in nature, reliably even of temperament and rarely taken off-guard by the goings on of the world, regardless of their power. This leads him to being a bit inscrutable as it can be hard to know what is going on beneath that still surface. Often, he comes across as being aloof without conscious effort.

Loyal to those that he has entrusted himself to, he is not one to willfully change sides nor to turn his back on those who have won such faithfulness. Confident in himself as well as his choices, he will stand by the decisions that he makes, regardless of the outcome. This can make him come across as being unchanging and stubborn. Can even come across as being fatalistic. What shall happen, shall happen.

Those closer to him might uncover a deep intensity in his manner, as he can have a very black-and-white view of the world. Things are rarely grey to him. Actually very physical in nature, he puts a great deal into the act of touch - be it touching a stranger, a peer, or an object. Whether these are mere quirks of youth or something more dire, time shall tell.
