Appearance

Kethri is a medium size snowy owl, and will grow to a height of 27 inches, a length of 24 inches, and have a wingspan of 5 feet. She is a silent flyer, the feathers on the tips of her primaries having evolved to produce almost no noise. Completely inaudible even when flapping. She hunts small prey like mice, rats, rabbits, snakes, and sometimes large bugs, if they’re around. Her bones are hollow and her eyesight and hearing is incredible, meaning she can hear mice under thick drifts of snow, or a rabbit from very far off. She likes to roost in trees or on cliffs, and prefers a colder climate because of her thick feathers, which make her hot easily. Her feathers are a pure white with black or grey speckles all over, and black stripes along her primary feathers on her wings and tail feathers. Her feet are covered in feathers as well, with long, sharp, black talons adorning them, made for grabbing and piercing. Her beak is small and white rather than black, making her pale face look paler, and can easily pierce flesh and tear off pieces. She eats by swallowing things whole, and spits up pellets containing the solid bits of her prey, like bones, hard cartilage, claws, and teeth.

Personality

Kethri’s preferred pastimes include flying, sleeping, preening, sleeping, and admiring her feathers in the lake’s reflection. Her temper is definitely her worst feature, and she’s the definition of spitfire. She gets angry easily and lashes out if she doesn’t get her way, and gets bitter when people react negatively, thus making it all the worse. Though, she is kind underneath all that spite, and loyal all the way, willing to do anything for her friends or those she loves. Those who manage to crack her icy exterior will be welcomed by a warm, burning heart, willing to split the sky for whoever dares to become her friend. Also, she loves affection, despite her adamantly saying she doesn’t. She loves hugs and snuggles, and head pats, she just doesn’t know how to ask. Though if anyone offers, she’ll refuse, only to come back as bashful as anything and mumbled something before just butting her head into you. Her magic is one of her main features, being fiery (in a literal sense), and also, rainbow! It’s rainbow. And she loves her rainbow magic flames and brags about them often, because of course she’d have rainbow flames with such a colorful personality! Kethri’s flames burn hot, hotter than her temper, and you’d better watch out if she ever comes your way!
