Appearance

Kito is in his foal days was an adorable, black and white bundle of fur who pranced around on legs to long for his body. In time, he'll grow into his hooves, becoming a stout equine, with a plump belly, a roached mane and a unique coat of black and white stripes. At full grown height, Kito will stand about 13 hands.

His gem, a slab of angelite, forms a part of the parietal bone in his cranium. The placement undoubtedly causes neurological problems for poor Kito.

As a plains zebra, his coat consist of broad stripes with the pattern reaching down to his underbelly and legs. Although his stone cannot be seen externally, his eyes, normally brown in a zebra, glow a gentle blue, the color of his angelite. Kito is a hardy equine. His body was built for survial on the unforgiving African Savannah. He is stronger and faster than he looks, reaching speeds up to 40 mph in a full gallop, and can take a beating, however, the stone's interference with his brain functions can throw him off balance, especially when he's casting a spell, as his cerebellum struggles to filter out the magic from muscle activity. This makes his actions unpredictable at times, one minute he could trotting along a cobbled path then, out of the blue, he might trip over nothing, or buck and bite at an imaginary creature then sit down like a canine and space out.

Personality

The zebra is quite an odd fellow. His actions, way of thinking, it is all reminiscent of that of a mad horse. The angelite making up a part of his skull's parietal bone is the main suspect. The stone's power corrupts his way of thinking (or does it enlighten it?) and because of the blue crystal's close proximity to his brain, the magic that pulsates from it will give him chronic headaches and hallucinations that will plague him through his entire life. Although he is oblivious to the environment, he also possesses uncanny awareness and understanding of the beyond. Or are his insights nothing more than an overactive imagination? It depends on what other Gembounds make of it, but one thing is certain, the bizarre mind of Kito is an enigma that only he can make sense of.

Rhymes, riddles, utter nonsense, and jibberish, are all apart of strange Kito's language. Ramblings about "balls of gas burning in an endless sky" and how he and the other Gembound's every waking decisions are controlled by "beings not of this world" certainly will turn some heads, damning the zebra to insanity or growing curious about his "visions".

As a young foal, Kito is a playful and creative little rascal. Always appearing to an have endless amount energy, he will bounce from playmate to playmate, looking for new ways to have fun, although his ideas of fun are usually full of risks, because he to wants to "see how the dice works." His immaturity will never leave him as he grows into an adult, however, as his aging body gains new aches, the hyper little foal of his youth with give way to a laid back, equine who is more content on grazing rather than frolicking. Although he has poor processing skills and seems to have a few screws loose, the eccentric Zebra's kindness knows no bounds. He is friendly and dauntless in his interactions with other Gembound and will always go out of his way to help any creature, even if puts him great danger.
