Appearance

Kitty is not, in fact, a cat. Instead, she's your standard red panda -- ruddy fur, black undersides, and raccoon-like markings on a round, whiskered face. Her little hands come with a semi-opposable thumb and retractable claws built for helping her climb, which also double to make her very effective with making things. Her long tail is designed to help her balance in trees, and her teeth are designed to tear into meat but specialized for bamboo -- however, due to a lack of it, her diet consists primarily of small animals and mosses, meaning that she has enough calories to make her active and bright-eyed.

Like most red pandas, she has very cat-like behaviors -- this is where she gets her name. Concerned with grooming, she is quite pretty and takes good care of her fluffy fur. It is double-coated and warm, designed for cool temperatures and defense against the little claws of small mammals. She gets overheated easily, and prefers to stay in the cooler caves (though not the frozen ones; that's no better).


Missing a claw on her left paw due to a fight with Comet; it will not regrow completely until her 7th cycle.

Personality

Soothsayer, meaning a person who predicts the future by magical, intuitive, or more rational means.

Kitty would like you to think that she predicts the future with magic -- the truth of the matter is, magic has only ever shown her the past. Instead, she relies on her mediocre intuition and a more rational understanding that plenty of Gembound will follow the directions of someone who can see the future. Not that she's trying to be malicious! It's just that... well, Kitty is actually capable of making a connection with The Other Side (whatever that means). She just doesn't know how yet, so all this good advice of hers would go to waste if she didn't tell everyone that she could actually see the future.

Early in life, she's very shy. Scared of her own shadow and preferring to retreat into stories and riddles, she's skittish about being alone and even more so about making friends. She hides up high in the trees to keep herself occupied, and prefers to play by herself instead of with anyone because she's terrified of what they'll think of her. Vastly insecure and desperately in need of some praise and recognition, Kitty craves a family more than anything else.

Once she warms up to you, Kitty reveals herself to be a versatile little creature. She likes to stay active and is almost always in motion, but also likes to take care of her friends and doesn't hesitate to go far out of her way for them. As her magical talent develops, she'll start to realize that she can actually be a soothsayer and channel her abilities through rocks, sticks, leaves, and anything that otherwise holds sentimental value.

After all, our fate is in our own hands, and we always reveal ourselves when we reveal what we love the hardest.
