Appearance

RENOWNED WARRIOR

Newly hatched, Louis is pretty much a black ball of puppy fluff with teeny tiny legs. He barely weighs two pounds, resembling a black cotton ball on toothpicks more than a dog. He'll eventually grow to fourteen pounds and twelve inches, with pointed ears and a long, shiny coat. His tail is usually up and curled, but relaxes back when he's angry or, well, relaxed. Left without human interference, it's not docked or damaged - although it is perpetually dusty.

His gem consists of three sapphire spikes twisting out from the top of both shoulders, the largest of the spikes in front and diminishing in size from there. As a child they're only a few inches long, but will eventually reach a good foot in length - perfect for hanging trinkets off of, or for friends to hold onto. They face backwards, making them useless for attack, and only marginally better for defense. The spires connect under his skin, making his upper back feel like a patchwork of hardened veins under all of his fluff.

Other than that, Louis' most defining factor would probably be how clean he is. Even a tiny speck of dirt on his coat makes him uneasy, and sets him off on rants about germs and infections. As a result, his coat is always glossy and dust-free - in striking contrast to the myriad of useless junk he carries around on his back, which is probably covered in mold, decay and possibly decomposing flesh. Good job, science dog.

INTREPID MERCHANT

MOTORMOUTH. Louis can't seem to stop talking, I mean, everything's just so impressive and wow, do you want to see this really cool stick he found in Polaris? It might've been touched by Raheerah himself, wouldn't that be incredible?! He just can't seem to shut up, which would make him an awful spy, but helps with the whole merchant slash intrepid explorer thing.

HOARDER. Then again, is it hoarding when what you hoard is intangible? Louis loves facts, trivia, secrets and codes - anything that can be stowed in the mind is of great value to him, and he'll readily trade you a shiny rock or two for anything you know. By the way - what the heck does Finis originea pende mean? Sounds cool, that's what matters.

WANNABE SCIENTIST. Although half of what he says may either be hearsay or otherwise completely false, Louis figures himself a scientist, searching for the secrets of the caves, how the golems move, how his magic and the spellwork of others is managed and created - it's all fascinating stuff, you know. Hey, you wanna trade a spell demonstration for this neat plant?

THRILL SEEKER. From scaling the walls of Orion to wading through the muck of Cetus, Louis is determined to explore every nook and cranny of the caves for interesting items and Scientific Facts, emphasis included. How well this will go considering his size and general demeanor remains to be seen...
