Appearance

Mango is a slightly built fox with slender legs and a long, slightly overly bushy tail, making it look proportionly a little too big. As a pup she seemed to be made up of only legs, ears and tail, making her very clumsy, somehow not able to coordinate her unproportioned limbs. She will grow into them as she gets older and become a gracefull and silent Gembound, or maybe she just learned not to cry out everytime she stubbs her paw against something again. Her fur is mainly dark red turning black at the legs. She has white dusting over the shoulders which darkens to greyish black over the hips and down the tail, although the red is always visible shining through. Her large ears are rimmed with black and her muzzle is also dark, which in combination with her poisonous looking yellow green eyes, makes her look permanently cross or irritated. She will never tell you if she really is irritated or not. Her chest and belly fur are lighter than on her back, reaching a gingery orange just above the black of her legs on the inside. Her tail tip is a creamy light yellow, set off from the main red tone by a thin ring of black, making it stand out against her otherwise dark fur. Mango has never seen her own stone, much to her annoyance, as it is placed on her back, at the scruff of her neck between the shoulder blades. Depending on the light it shimers in flashes of blue or green.

Personality

Mango is very shy and quiet, preferring to listen rather than contribute. This and her dark colouring leads to her often being overlooked and underestimated, a big mistake. She is fast and agile, both in mind and body, learning at a remarcable pace, often just by watching others. Though no pushover in a fight, she prefers to settle things by other means, even putting herself at risk to stop things from getting heated (often in every sense oft the word). Often sarcastic and defensive, there are few whom Mango counts as friends, but to those, she is irrevocably loyal and protective. Under her gruff shell she is a great confidant and will listen to anyone who is willing to talk to a surly looking Gembound like her, doing her best to present other angles of looking at problems, helping people to find their own solution, not just giving one. While not one to say no to company, she does prefer being left alone, needing to recharge her social batteries a little more than most others. This is one oft he reasons you will find her sleeping a lot, often in very unlikely places. If deprived of sleep for too long she will become very bubbly and active.
