Appearance
No matter how you look at it, there is no redeeming feature in this creature's appearance.Marigold is a horribly gangly creature, a shadow of their past self. Thick, mangy black fur covers most of their body; on their face and back, belly and the back of their legs, and covering most of their tail. The rest of their body is covered in hardened autumnal coloured scales. They are very thin, their ribs are visible and if one were to sift through the fur on their back they'd find outlines of the spine. They wheeze and they stumble around constantly. Their legs are long and thin, covered in thick fur and scales. Despite having four of them, they seem uncoordinated and weak; mostly keeping balance from the long tail that extends out of them. Their gem extends out of six points of their skull; connected through the back of the jaw and the crown of their head. four spikes jut out from the skin - two on either side of the jaw and two larger 'horns' extend out from the crown of their head. The peridot stone seems to weigh them down somewhat - they often appear tired and weak. Large ears extend out from their head. Marigold seems to rely on hearing rather than a sense of smell or sight; but there is nothing wrong with her eyes. With the eyes of a dog, she can see particularly well in the dark. Personality
Although they aren't particularly talkative to other people, Marigold is particularly friendly towards other people. Despite what some might think, Marigold is the type to appreciate company a majority of the time; preferring the company of others than the company of theirself. Often times, however, they can appear cold or blunt in their opinions - particularly over controversial topics or their opinions of other people. They like to speak their mind, no matter how inappropriate it might be.
Bad opinions of people aside however, Marigold is the type of creature that would help anybody in need, even if their help is unneeded or there is nothing they can do. If they could heal, they most definitely would; but alas the power never seemed to have chosen them. They are particularly loyal towards their friends - to which, they may have many. The more the merrier, after all. They're the type that can keep a secret locked away for years and years (or perhaps they're just forgetful), and the type of person who would throw themselves in front of a train if it meant saving someone.
