Not just any bat...
Marshmallow is a Honduran White Bat. If you have not seen a Honduran White Bat, the main things you should know about them are that they are very small. And by small, I mean VERY small. Four centimeters small. With a wing length of only ten centimeters. Yep, this is certainly a very small bat. And also, they only weigh five grams. Not only that, but these bats are one of the only two species of bats that are white. That's right! Marshmallow is the literal color of a marshmallow. Not only that, their fur is extremely FLUFFY! The amount of floof in their fur is incomparable, making them look like mini cotton balls. When opened, their wings are an ashy grey. But they have other colors too, their ears and nose being a bright yellow.
Peridot Nose
Another thing that is special about these bats are they are one of the only species to have a leaf shaped nose. But Marshmallow's nose is not just leaf shaped, her stone IS her nose! It is a light green peridot, making her nose look like a mini green leaf. Her nose still works, of course.
Tenting
One of the quirks on Honduran White Bats, is that they don't actually live in caves. They are so small, the live on the underside of 'tents'. These tents are actually the leaves of the Heliconia plant, and they cut the leaf along the middle stem to make it drop down into a tent like shape. Then the bats hang on along the stem of the leaf, safe with the leaf on both sides shielding them.
Diet
These Honduran White Bats actually eat fruits, unlike other species of bat. Their mouth is designed to eat fruits, but they actually specialize in eating figs, but not just ANY fig, a special variety of fig too. Picky eaters, right?
Special things...
Honduran White Bats' white fur actually helps them become almost invisible. This is because while they are hanging onto their leaf, the light from above shines through the leaf, and their white fur makes them almost invisible to predators. Their eyes are extremely sensitive to light, and anything that what looks like pitch black to others is actually normal for them. His scent is very good though, and that is his main sense that he uses. Echolocation is also used, but is not relied on as much.

Personality

Just a small bat...
Marshmallow is quite the timid little bat, anything that seems like a predator will send her scurrying back to her safe space under her leaf, and hiding there until the threat is gone, or at least perceived to be. She has no problem being around others though, but when something starts to become threatening she will fly away.
With some big floof...
Marshmallow is a very soft and cuddly bat. Once she has identified you as not a threat, she will find a place on your body to snuggle in. This could mean riding on your head, or hanging upside down from your tail. Everyone is determined as a good spot to ride on until you are seen as a threat. Sometimes you may be randomly walking through the forest, and you will suddenly feel a weight on your head. That would be Marshmallow all right!
And squeaks?
Honduran White Bats do not communicate with sound very much, so Marshmallow does not speak very much, and when she does, it's often not in complete sentences. Instead, they communicate better with motions and touch. It is a good thing that she has light magic, which is very helpful with her form of communication.
