Appearance

As a hatchling, he is a lanky pup that consists almost entirely of floof and teeth. He has a face that's incredibly expressive. As a youthful canine, he always has a long, pink tongue hanging out of the side of his mouth, a goofy, bright-eyed and playful expression plastered on his face. As he grows and ages, his resting face tends to looks kind of like he's not having a good day, but can still let his inner puppy out with certain individuals.

Like most pups, his feet are much larger than the rest of him, expressing his eventual size of 120 pounds and 36 inches tall. His fur is a true black, without an ounce of any other color able to be found anywhere. It's long and thick, almost impossible to find the skin under it all if one were to every try looking. It's not super glossy, although healthy, which he may find to be an advantage.

His bright green eyes match his gem, which almost appear to be it's own eye, catlike with the way it shines. It isn't any bigger around than a gold ball, but is not a perfect circle under the flesh, as it's embedded in his skull and avoidant of his brain. He sometimes thinks of it as a third eye, which may not be entirely inaccurate, seeing as he draws his power from it. When using medium or high level spells, it may glow, the brightness depending on both the difficulty and success of it's attempts.

Personality

In his early days, Menzier is a pretty happy wolf, happily bouncing around and regularly tripping over his own giant paws. He sometimes forgets that others have personal boundaries, not necessarily enjoying the contact he may provide. With other canines, he may try to romp with sharp puppy teeth and utter stupidity. Despite this, he does respond very well to body language and warning growls that might be provided.

With age comes the settling of his behavior. He becomes a lot quieter, becoming a thinker with a lot of inner monologue. He's very calculating, assessing situations before making a move, which makes him an interesting foe in fights. He will think before he acts, trying to find the best action to take. He tends to be more physical, but does not fear the use of his magic if he sees it best to use it.

Menzier is, despite his quiet demeanor, a very compassionate and empathetic being. He loves wholeheartedly, but does find himself to be often paranoid or worried that his feelings are not mutual or reciprocated. This may sometimes push him into being a recluse until someone makes a point to drag him back out of his shell.

An unfortunate twist in his mental state will reveal an interesting perspective change in the wolf's future. It'll unravel him... possibly right into his demise.
