Appearance
Truly a king with a golden touch, Midas is a beast to behold when he reaches the prime of his life, likely near the age of 3 Cycles. The serpent will be a tank of a creature, weighing in at nearly five hundred sixty-one pounds at his healthiest, likely between feedings. Midas will grow to be a titan, his growth finally stopping at a gargantuan thirty feet and nine inches. Armed with a mouth full of sharp and hooked teeth, his canines arched forward and hooking in backwards, and a central set will tear into your flesh. Once he has you in his grasp, the snake will unhinge his jaws, and you will not be let go easily. He truly is not one you'd like to trifle with.
At first sight, the behemoth will be a scaly beast, flexible keratin covering the majority of him. Eyes are set atop his head, as well as nostrils, enabling the snake to be able to move stealthily in water, his finest home and choice of hunting spot. Dark green scales cover the creature, masking him in deeper waters. His undersides are notably lighter, so that if any creatures should gaze up from below, the snake will appear as if he is an illusion made by the sun. Dark spots grace his body, maverick and random. Some lighter lime tones cover him, mostly about his eyes. These blend in well with his eyes, which have a bright and alert green to them. Atop the Midas' skull, however, is his most prized and fantastic feature. A crystal of pyrite rises above his crown, arched back. It has taken the shape of a crown, and seems to be made of gold. Midas was once an innocent prince, freshly emerged into the world and taking on his self-proclaimed wiggle quests to discover who he was and what his purpose in life would be. Time, however, tainted him.
He was once a cruel being, a self-proclaimed king who claimed he had everything yet held nothing. His tongue was crafted from the finest silver and slicked with virulent poison, manipulating the innocent minds of the caves into doing as he wished them to do. One of his grandest desires was to have his own children—perfect heirs to his title as the gilded king. He is no longer that man. Reemerged from his chrysalis, the serpent is shattered. His mind has broken, reverting to a child-like state to cope with whatever trauma forced him to retreat into his chrysalis. He is a coward, shying away from any movement and often hiding within the highest reaches of trees. He has forgotten many of those he has met in his life. Unforgettable, however, are his worst memories. The ones of his first murder. They are constantly dredged up, and it tears him apart, bit by bit. History
