Appearance

Badger head-shape, pronghorn horns, pronghorn eyes, badger mouth, mixed ears, pronghorn neck, mixed torso, hippo front leg, mixed front feet, badger back leg, mixed back foot, pronghorn tail, badger skin/fur, hippo patterns, chin stone, 2'11" at the shoulder.

Morganite is a very stout, short animal, with a long nose, two horns located on their head, pointing forward, and four stubby legs with four toes on the front feet and four toes on the hind feet. They have minimal markings and are colored a light reddish-purple color, with darker dapples spotting their hide. They are very good at smelling, able to find roots under the ground and fruit. They are herbivorous, preferring to eat roots, grasses, fruit, and other greenery, anything that they can put in their mouth, really.

They have a stubby (but fluffy) tail and big green eyes with a horizontal pupil, with two fluffy ears that swivel to and fro as they analyze their surroundings. They walk rather slowly, though if they really want to, they can run really fast, and are surprisingly agile, able to jump pretty far. They’re very surefooted, mostly from practice chasing around their friends.

After the Hydra trial, Morganite now has a new appearance. Black fur, hyper-reflective green eyes, bat ears, and long, sharp claws on their front feet, as well as long whiskers. They are able to use echo location.

Personality

Morganite is soft-spoken and rarely raises their voice, and often seems tired or lazy because of their drooping eyes and shambling walk. They just prefer to take it easy, always stopping to smell the flowers. They of course can be stern when they need to, but that’s only when their endless patience has been pushed past the point of no return, which hasn’t happened in a very long time. They like to eat and sleep a lot, under the excuse of storing their energy (for what?), but are definitely not someone to be underestimated. Their bite is fierce and their horns sharp, and they can run fast and chase like nobody’s business. If they want to hurt you… they will. Mostly in defense.

Due to living mostly alone with their Gembound ‘siblings’, they’ve taken a role as a motherly figure, trying to guide the others and help them out as much as possible. They often provide comfort and grooming to others, and are a lovely place to nap, as their fur is soft and their body blubbery and soft like the perfect bed. They love to play chase with the others, as lazy as they seem, though they often get caught just to see the others enjoy themselves, and don’t typically play seriously unless they’re goaded on.

They don’t fear much, and are perfectly fine walking into a dark cave alone with no light to fetch a toy that was lost inside, as well as trying to climb trees for fruit. They’d be the first one to search for danger in order to protect her ‘siblings’, and will jump into battle at a moment’s notice if necessary.
