Appearance

Thin. Leggy. Tall. Leucistic. Youthful. Feminine.

He is lanky at best, the boy culturing a thin, markedly feminine figure in his youth. Bones are prominent in his hips and legs, announcing their presence sharply beneath a thick white pelt. Legs are considered a bit too long for his bulk, adding to his natural clumsiness, though they are sturdy despite their twig-like silhouette.

Small cloven hooves the color of obsidian tip each leg, the prongs sharp and prone to scratching lines into stone as the stag stumbles his way through the caverns. Depthless black eyes are framed by thick ebony lashes, holding a weariness an age beyond his short life. Though not yet visible, antlers of garnet - his stone - are forming beneath the surface of his pale skin, awaiting the day he will grow strong enough for the pair to emerge.

An attribute that is markedly obvious in the boy's thin physique is the presence of overly large ears, the pair so blaringly oversized upon the deer's small body that it is nearly laughable. If not for the glimmering eyes filled with wonder and the chiming voice full of awe for the world of untapped knowledge, the boy may have remained achingly average.

Personality

Altruistic. Inquisitive. Kindly. Observant. Skeptical. Nurturing.

The child is one with the cosmos, blessed with a thirst for knowledge and a wish to bestow that which he has learned upon others so that they may better themselves. While his disposition is a cynical one, his skepticism is not borne of cruelty or judgement, merely a need to both protect the softness of his heart and to view the world through eyes unclouded by bias. Morthos is capable of finding beauty in anything - though he is sometimes loath to swallow his pride enough to do so. Rarely does the boy joke, he is a stoic soul, but it is not beyond him to make light of a situation through factual means; silver linings are always present and the journey of life is always offering new lessons to behold.

So wrapped up in self imposed studies and the endless quest for understanding, Morthos isn't much for romance. It is not that he does not feel attraction or appreciation concerning the beauty of others, but it is perceived as impractical and the oblivious lad finds that most allusions to flirting go right over his pale head. Though while Morthos doesn't notice his lack of romantic love, he works to culture and create an aura of safety and benevolence about himself; for the best way to learn is from a teacher who truly cares about his pupils. In this, the youthful stag finds that he is rather grandfatherly - not that he minds in the least.

In addition to his gentle presence and love for learning, Morthos nurtures an affinity for plantlife, a soul-rooted adoration for that which sprouts so beautifully from the soil and blossoms beneath a heaven hewn of stone.
