Appearance

The most noticeable thing about Mosaic is likely her color. Her silky fur is broken into three different colors - black, yellow, and white. Her front half - head, neck, and chest - are mostly yellow with a black snout, black stripes encircling yellow spots on her chest (one of which is her gem), and white fur inside her huge ears. Her eyes are dark brown. Her tail tip is fluffy and white, the color extending about three quarters of the way toward her body, where it is replaced by black and yellow. Her back is also mainly black and yellow, most of the remaining white being on her legs, shoulders, and underbelly. Her gem, a citrine, is small and unassuming, a small oval that doesn't stick out much from the rest of her fur. She stands 26 inches high at the shoulder.

As a pup, Mosaic will not look very different from her adult self when it comes to color. The most obvious difference is size, of course. She is much smaller than herself four cycles later. But there are other differences too, if one takes a closer look. Her snout is shorter, she is chubbier, her eyes wider, and her entire appearance more awkward and cuddly.

Personality

Many would consider Mosaic odd, especially when it comes to emotions. She calls other Gembounds jerks and idiots, among other things (if she likes you, you're a(n) "[adjective] jerk") and is quite rude but dissolves into sobs and anger if they avoid her. She can seem fierce and lash out at those many times her size and strength, even engaging in a screaming fit, but flees the instant someone tries to lash out physically. Growling? BRING IT ON, JERK! But the moment she sees your claws moving towards her, she's outta there, shrieking at you the entire way. This can change, in extreme situations... but who knows how extreme it has to be.

If, by some miracle, she likes you and you haven't been offended enough to stay away forever, she's extremely clingy. She'll want to go wherever you go, and can get very jealous very quickly. She has no sense of personal space. She can be overprotective, snarling at strangers/Gembounds she doesn't like who get too close, which could be a problem if you're trying to make new friends/talk to old ones/talk to family/whatever. Make no mistake, though, she'll flee at the first sign of real trouble and simply assume that you're going to be right behind her and therefore perfectly safe.
