Appearance

Resembling a baby komodo dragon (but substantially bigger), this creature will grow to rival the size of Ghanyarah. Its flesh is slick and black, with an oily sheen. There are longer feather-like segments of leathery lizard skin protruding from Netil's brow region, giving him a perpetually intimidating frown that resembles the feather tufts of Dark. Similar leathery skin-feathers grow along the back of his neck, on either side of the junction where his head meets his neck, and follows a pattern down the neck to the shoulders, where they taper away to nothing.

Netil has a massive wingspan of leathery wings, and similar flesh-feathers plate the wings, giving them a feathered appearance. These strange feathers do not molt from him at any point, but if they break off they will regrow; if found littering the ground, they would resemble a dried piece of jerky, or a shard of dead skin. Netil's eyes are an eerie white, without a noticeable iris or pupil.

The creature's crest resembles that of Ghanyarah. It is made of morganite stone and grows out of the skull, eventually crowning Netil with a flesh-pink crest.

Personality

While the majority of Netil's behavior will be uncovered through RP (and developed through IC events), what will persist from the moment he hatches is an insatiable hunger. There is nothing more primal than the requirement of food for a living body, and Netil takes this to extremes. He is extremely food driven, with antagonistic behavior directed towards anyone between him and a good meal. Even after gorging himself and succumbing to gluttony, nothing seems to slow his desire down.

Aside from this, Netil is limited in his behavior. He appears to be slow-minded, or at least too mindless to learn to speak in full sentences. If a grunt gets the point across, a grunt is what you're going to get - likewise, he is quick to use his teeth, tail, claws, and anything else attached to his body, to convey what needs conveying.

History

Hatched from a morganite chrysalis.
