Appearance

Odyssey is what one could only describe as being completely, breathtakingly beautiful. They are crafted of a lithe and svelte body, their angular head surprisingly thin despite boasting a set of long, powerful jaws, held proudly atop an elegantly curved neck. The vertebrae dip down between two delicate shoulders, then arches up again, meeting its peak half-way down their spine, only to fall nearing their back end. Their tail follows the pattern of sweeping gently downward. Their legs are equally as long, thin and graceful like that of a bird, or a king. Though their legs are gaunt, they are corded with narrow muscles visibly rippling with each step they take. Odyssey looks like they are a feverish figment of a dreaming mind, yet all it takes is an idle movement to witness the animal strength beneath their hide.

Despite how powerful they look, Odyssey is surprisingly fragile. They are mindful of their appearance and take pride in the sweet strawberry blond of their coat, a hallmark of their mixed heritage. Pale red threads along the majority of their fur, darkening slightly near the spine, only to be cleaved by a cream dorsal stripe. The same cream marks their muzzle and throat, legs, stomach, and the underside of their tail. Darker orange tips their tail, ears, and nape.

Chartreuse green is the predominant colour of the hybrid beyond their fur. Peridot spires peak through their scalp as four horns situated between their ears, while the same shade is reflected in their brooding eyes bordered by thick, half-lidded lashes. Typically darkened with thought, it doesn't take much for Odyssey to present a facade of gentle shimmer, a smile, charming and lucid. Their nose, paw pads, and any exposed skin seems to take on a soft peach colour. Odyssey typically has a look of knowing about them, even when they are ignorant to the situation. Knowing, or maybe arrogant; it is hard to tell.

From the very beginning, Odyssey has envisioned themselves an enigma. They have been decisive about themselves and their identity since they could form thoughts, and as such, has decided that such details are up in the air - to be decided at a later date, or perhaps to be questioned eternally, the answer locked away in Odyssey's mind for only them to know. And they would jeer and scoff, for the answer was exactly that: a mystery, never to be revealed. This is everything about Odyssey, from their gender (in truth, an amalgamate of genitalia, neither one nor the other), to their opinion, to their innermost intent.

There is one creature that knows more of Odyssey than anyone ever will, and that is Odyssey's brother, Illiad. Since birth, the two of them have shared an otherworldly connection that few can describe or even match. They communicate with one another in a way that seems impossible, or perhaps influenced by magic of the arcane. Odyssey prides themselves on knowing everything there is to know about Illiad, and in turn grants their brother knowledge of them, so long as Odyssey sees him fit to know it. Unfortunately, Odyssey believes it best to leave Illiad in the dark about many things and will only share what they believe is necessary, but this doesn't mean Odyssey thinks lowly of their brother. Rather the opposite: Odyssey strives to protect Illiad. They value his innocence and cherish the kindness of his heart, thinking it too fragile, too precious to damage. Odyssey is fiercely protective of their brother, even if they are somewhat manipulative of him. In times of uncertainty, Odyssey will sing to Illiad.

Odyssey has always been a creature of passion, even if their feelings are held at arm's length - it is a superficial passion, a physical passion, that renders Odyssey erotic and obsessive, seeking to wholly consume every part of the object of their desire. They have no love in their heart for anybody but Illiad, but find themselves so craving of attention and desire that they will easily feign attraction if only to get close. They are a creature of touch and suggestion, and this gives them an infatuation for love games. While Odyssey greatly indulges in the love of others, they are just as quick to discard it and move on should they grow bored or bemused; their lack of empathy or emotional attachment could classify them as something of a sociopath.
