Appearance

She is a delicate specimen, sturdy but feminine, a build smaller and seemingly more fragile then the normal plains zebra. She stands around 4 feet tall at the shoulder at full growth, with a weight of 350 lbs. She could be massive, strong, and intimidating, but her appearance would tell otherwise. The signature contrast of black and white stripes that most zebra may boast is not present - instead, her body is covered with clean, slightly off-white fur, streaked with pale strawberry stripes. A thick, wiry mane of hair defines the back of her neck, starting on the forehead and stopping at the shoulders.

She bears a typical equine's build - a tough, sturdy body held up with thin legs, strong but brittle, allowing her speeds of up to 35 mph, standing on thick, hard, dark gray hooves. She has an elongated, slightly oversized head, two long, straight ears poking out from the side of her skull, and a complex, darker pattern of strawberry stripes on her forehead and cheeks, with solid black over the tip of her muzzle. A small, fluffy tail of darker red and black falls from her hindquarters.

The eye that look out from the right side of her head is a deep magenta, appearing to have streaks of gold in brighter lights. The left, however, is cloudy and eternally dilated. The gold isn't present and its darker and muddier then the other. The socket is framed by claw-mark scars her lids hang lower then the eye on her right. She has no visible gem on her body - the obsidian she carries rests within her chest, taking the place of her heart.

Personality

She comes across as a generally likable creature - and she genuinely is. It's easy to get along with Oleander, since she really tries to get along with everyone. She has a certain feminine charm to her, shy and delicate, submissive, with an edge that's almost flirty. She's outgoing, but not overly-friendly, with enough sense to give others their space but always making an effort to start conversations or relate to whoever she's talking to. She has a knack for trying to be as helpful as possible. It can lead her to almost being a little nosy, but she doesn't seem to see what's wrong with that, as long as she's doing something good in the end.

This is Oleander on a normal day. As herself. And she will stay this way around almost everyone she meets. But sometimes there comes across someone special that makes her feel something different. It's not clear to herself how she ends up choosing these people (or singular person) but once she does, she's different. She's nervous, flirty, and wholly obsessive over her choice, taking to following them around, even stalking them if she must, and she finds it difficult to think or talk of anyone or anything else. She'd do anything for this person as long as it means she's their center of attention.

This obsession is like a switch in her mind. Where she's usually bubbly and gentle and sweet, one hint that there's perhaps a danger that she's losing her love, somehow separated from them, or that somebody may take them away, she is a different person altogether. It's noticeable. It's sudden and it's not gentle. She is cold, focused on her single goal of clearing the way of all distractions. She is manipulative and cunning, consciously throwing away that helpful sweetness in favor of backstabbing and underhanded tactics. She can grow violent, but only in the most dire or extreme of circumstances. Her first path of choice won't be "hurt" or "murder" but rather getting under peoples' skin, pull them away however she can. But if it comes to it...she'll do anything.
