Appearance

Lazy and indulgent, he is a beastly oversized varmint-- nearly three feet in length, from tip to tail, and weighing close to fourteen pounds. Often, Opie claims big bones. More likely, most of this bulk can be attributed to a thick layer of fat, or an even thicker coat of black and white fur; both of which are maintained through sheer vanity alone.

Several limbs seem almost hilariously mismatched. His long, prehensile tail can only be described as wormlike, and his ears and paws are totally hairless. Both rear legs have opposable, clawless thumbs, allowing him to lounge in the strangest positions. An elongated snout, with twitching whiskers, damp, pink nose, and glittering black eyes, give his face a comically alien appearance-- as though he were a rat, but a little to the left.

His gemstone — moissanite, strong and sharp — sits inside his greedy maw, alongside 49 other teeth. There, it serves to either tear into his food or bite those he takes a disliking to.

Personality

A simple creature, Opie's favorite pastimes are thus: eating, bathing, and sleeping.

However, his temper is rather more intense, as far as a hedonist is concerned. Irritable, selfish, obnoxious, and loud, he has a rather foul disposition-- and an even fouler tongue, from which literally no one is spared. Opie, as far as he's concerned, has Opie shit to do, and he does not suffer interruptions. Or, even more hated: actually engaging with other, less important people.

This isn't to say that Opie is, in every way, the worst type of bastard. He can appreciate a good deal or joke, usually at your expense, for example. He takes pride in his work-- both his insults and his trash heap are, in his humble opinion, the finest in the world. And he would consider himself a rather undemanding fellow. Really, he only asks for what he's always had: a full belly, clean fur, and to sleep for twenty-three hours a day.

In short, it is quite possible that Opie emerged on the wrong side of the bed, as it were, and has spent every day of his life regretting it immensely.
