Appearance
At full size, he'll be about the size of a large dog from shoulder to hip, with a wingspan and tail length each double that. Wings are better used for swimming, but he can use them to glide short distances without magic. The helm-shaped stone is now located on the tip of his tail, framing the center of his tail fin. He is a slate blue with barred stripes and a paler underside. His "beak" is taught, somewhat harder skin, more akin to a dolphin's facial features, sized down to a bird's sleek profile. Entirely featherless, but has thick, rubbery skin instead. Awkward walking on land but fairly graceful swimmer.
As a youth, however, he is a gangling thing. Too-long limbs and a head seemingly over sized for his small body, the avian heritage shows through more than ever early on. He isn't very big, just the size of a domestic cat. His coloration is just as bold, but there are added stripes, darker undertones like rippled water across his skin- juvenile's camouflage. Points of Interest: 3 Digit Wings and Feet - The bones in this hybrid's limbs have fused in places, resulting in three digits rather than the standard five- or in the case of his reviver, none shown digits at all. Quadrupedal Gait - Due to the weight of his tail, he has to use all fours to walk rather than just his hind limbs. As he ages, he can walk further and further on two legs. Personality
At first, the wide-eyed youth is a confident creature, filled with curiosity and a thirst for knowledge. He relies heavily on his magical ability from the very start, though he pushes himself to the brink of exhaustion when he trains. A determined youth, he longs for the day when he'll grow up and become a great mage- and a beloved friend to those in the caves.
As he ages, however, strange dreams and memories will begin to plague him. At first, they're brief images, whispers in his mind, but as time goes on, he'll remember more and more- until someday remembering clearer details of his past life. These images will confuse and put doubt into the hybrid's otherwise happy lifestyle. He will find there is no escape from the nightmares, and they will haunt him more and more until he is tormented nightly by them. As an adult, he will become prone to the effects of sleep deprivation, become irritable, defensive, paranoid. His goals will dissolve and he will become the quick-tempered result of a troubled mind.
