Appearance

With the body of a poodle, Orthrus is a leggy thing with an odd resemblance to a snake. Although the majority of the two headed boy is brown with thick, curly, darker brown fur centraled around his wrists, chest, and heads and ears, their body is a smidge longer than a natural poodle, though one may never notice. The entirety of their underside is scaly with thick, brown and orange snake skin and it doesn't end there. Instead of a regular poodle tail, Orthrus has the tail of a snake matching the colors of their underside with a large, rounded design all over. It is heavy and long, but the boy manages to lift it as he ages. During his first few cycles of life, he will have sores from being unable to lift his tail, thus leaving it to drag on the ground.
Although the heads never switch positions, its easy to tell the difference. When looking at Orthrus, the head on the right has brown eyes while the left head has orange eyes. His stone almost matches the left heads eyes - a warm color of topaz that sits at the rise of the boys hips, a small cabochon on top of the skin.

Personality

Although Orthrus has one body and one name, he has two heads and therefore two minds. Theyre always on the same wavelength like twins, essentially like reading each others mind. They are able to finish each others sentences and while each head controls half of the body, they move in sync save for the tail which flip flops between sides depending in the stronger emotion.
The head on the left, with the orange eyes, is the more submissive head and often carries it lower than the brown eyed head, eyes averted or towards his brother. Though one should not assume this head is harmless either because he feeds off the other heads emotions as well. When the more dominant head is angry, this head tries to remedy the situation somehow, usually with his own anger. This head is definitely more subdued than the dominant head.
The other head, the dominant head with the brown eyes is very up front. He says what he thinks whether he means it or not and isn't afraid of you hearing it. His temper is short and easily ignited by even the silliest of things, so one should tread carefully around this gembound.
The boys are still young however and like to play. In time they will grow and possibly discover their magic, though are unlikely to use it.
