Appearance

Pallas is a textbook banded linsang, long and catlike. He measures at about two and a half feet, including the tail, and one and a half pounds. The gembound is very flexible. His long tail helps him to balance in life, mirrored by his long neck. Sharp teeth fill his omnivorous mouth with some particularly noticeable canines. Catlike feet end in razor sharp retractable claws, with four digits adorned with rough dark paw pads.

His pelt does not have a particular texture to it. The base ranges from a grey at the head to a reddish orange at the legs and tail, a lighter underbelly accented by dark, thick stripes across his back. One stripe runs directly down his spine until it reaches the shoulders, where it splits into five more encased by two mirroring stripes originating from the muzzle and connecting to the last stripe. Down his long, red tail, Pallas has seven dark stripes like those on his back. On his upper arms and legs are spots the same color as the stripes.

Pallas's build is most easily described as long. Long legs, long neck and tail, long body and face. The only particularly unusual thing about him is their gem at the back of his mouth, on the top of his tongue. His face is small, reminiscent of a fox or mouse. Two large, deep brown eyes take in the world around him while minuscule ears on either side of his head allow for hearing.

Personality

Now a mature adult, Pallas enjoys being absolutely alone. Being bothered by anyone or anything could be a potential curse in itself, and so he resorts to isolating himself, particularly in his dwelling in Cetus. He still remains quiet as he was when a child, though he's infinitely less curious about the world. He's fine where he is, thank you.

However, he is interested in creating things for the ease of his own life. Up in his tree-hollow den, items resembling rope and awkward constructions lay strewn about, few ever finding actual use like his water filter for the murky waters surrounding him. He's particularly proud of his skillset. You'd be hard pressed to learn about it, though, much less be able to use one of his machinations- those are reserved for him and him alone.

After being infected by Mother, he has grown even more wary of beings telling him what to do if they aren't already affiliated by him. His 'family' however- those connected through Mother's strands- may find rare solace in the nocturnal being.
