Appearance
it is small, and yet it is With feathers coating almost every part of their body, Pegasus promises to live up to their name. They're horse-like in shape, with soft grey feathers covering most of their body, from their head to just before their black hooves. Darker grey touches the muzzle of their mouth, with a white stripe running down its center. White patches also dot three of their legs in socks, and the beginning of the largest clusters of feathers on their shoulders, ankles, and tail. Unlike their body feathers, these accents spring high, colored in a gradient from dark pink to storm blue. Where a horse's mane would be is also composed of these colorful feathers. A brief tail-fan springs out at the base of their tail, and pink feathers missing their blue gradient end a rather long tail. Focused eyes come in a shade of sulfur yellow that contrast the rest of their body, easy to get caught up in. Their gemstone is a specimen of star rose quartz, sprouting in a set of secondary rhino-like horns placed in front of a set of dark natural ones. In total, they stand six feet at the withers, and measure eight feet in length from head to tail. Pegasus is rather expressive, with all those feathers. They automatically fluff up when in a cold environment, or bristle to make themselves appear larger when irritated. Their tail, too, is rather cat-like in expression; swishing softly in happiness, lashing and thumping against the ground in anger. They tend to molt often, leaving discarded feathers of every shade behind in living spaces, although they do try to clean up after themselves. Personality
i do not question where it leads Pegasus has a voice, but you'd be forgiven for thinking otherwise. Soft-spoken and thoughtful, it's rare to hear his voice—and even rarer to hear it rise above a murmur. They're not shy—in fact, quite the opposite, confident and unafraid to assert himself—simply quiet. He tries his best to impart a good impression upon anyone he meets, and if any soul in the caves had such a concept as 'good manners', it would be him. He's quite private, preferring to keep his own going-ons to himself at times; this may lend him a completely unintentional aura of mystery and solitude. Growing up in a magic-oriented family, surrounded by magicka and spell-casting, he has an inclination towards the stuff. Magic reminds him of home, of childhood; he has a certain love for the stuff, and a certain curiosity for it in kind. He just wishes he was better at it. No matter how much he practices with his own spellwork, it never seems to be enough—as much as he loves and adore his family, having a transcendent master for a father and another for a sister weighs heavy on him. He'll never be as good as them, he thinks. Magic will never come as easily to him as it does to them. He tries his best to push forward, but practice sessions often lead to discouragement and frustration. They want to know everything they can about magic, an insatiable curiosity mixed with the urge to just be good at something, but oftentimes they're left frustrated both by their own family legacy and the standards they force upon themselves in order to just be as powerful and talented as their family is.
