Appearance

Petals is a ring-tailed lemur, as easily evidenced by his tail. It’s long, longer than his body, and is black and white ringed. His fur is a gray to rosy brown color, though it resides more on the brown side. There’s a patch of brown around the tail, which fades to gray. His chest and throat, as well as the area around his face save for black surrounding his eyes, are all white. His eyes are a yellow brown color.

His gem is chocolate opal, and is located on his right shoulder. It forms the shape of a rose. When he’s young, it’s rather small, but as he grows it grows as well, becoming slightly more and more complex. It’s a dark brown color, but when the light catches it, one can see specks of color, including red, green, and blue. As he grows older, his fur will take on a seemingly endless supply of dirt and dust, bring his already fairly brown body to an even darker brown.

Petals is relatively large. The length of his body, not including his tail, is about 43 cm, and his tail alone is 60 cm. Overall, his total length is 103 cm.

As he grows older, he’ll be seen wearing a flower crown woven out of different flowers, most of which were grown by him.

Personality

Petals loves to explore. He’s one that can be seen exploring the entire area of a cave, examining it completely. This is how he ends up finding the beauty of flowers, which becomes a critical part in defining who he is. He’s very friendly, often going up to anyone just for the heck of it, wanting to talk to someone. He doesn’t really like being alone, and would much rather be in the company of others.

Petals loves flowers. It’s almost as if his name predetermined this love. He grows flowers whenever he can, and from a young age, learned how to make flower crowns out of them. Upon meeting someone else, he will quickly make a flower crown for that gembound and put it on their head, regardless of whether or not said gembound even wants a flower crown.

He’s also rather carefree. All this guy wants to do is meet others and make everyone a flower crown. When he’s not talking to someone, he’s likely off growing flowers to add to his ever growing stash of flowers that he uses to make flower crowns. He’s also fairly disorganized. Later on, he’ll have a place to stash his flowers in and take them with him, and it’ll be full of flowers and seeds all mixed together. He’ll want it to look near, but will do nothing to make it so.
